What, the one they have isn't good enough for you? I mean for $179, you couldn't possibly get a better phone.

I am hopefully getting a tablet to replace my desktop. But if i can't do that i will stick with a desktop and put windows 8 on it. I dont want to have both
Fun fact, the owner of this station, vox media, was founded by Cliff bleszinski's brother, developer of Gears of War.
Shoot, I knew this sounded like an advertisement.

While the Surface is a real computer, it is limited compared to a desktop machine. Don't expect to play the latest and greatest games on a Surface even though it runs Win 8. I'd say the surface is more of a replacement for a laptop than a desktop.

Surface RT maybe, but the Surface Pro sounds like it has some decent specs. Also I'm pretty sure other OEM's will fill the power-hungry void that some of us require. It's part of the reason I believe W8 Tablets as a whole will be pretty successful.

Yes they will have decent specs, but only compared to laptops. If you want to play Crysis 3 on max settings it's going tot ake a tower filled with 8 cores, 16 gigs and the fastest power sucking video card you can afford.

Oh absolutely. I didn't mean to inply that they would compete with the good 'ol towers. That would be pretty imposible.
