Well I just beat Metro 2033  (whcih was surprisingly good) and it was  the first game I've completed since purchasing 40 new games at the Steam Summer Sale.    I'm currently playing Darksiders on and off when I'm in the mood to kill things.  But now I need to figure out which game to enthrall myself in next.

My Options I'm considering include:

Alan Wake (and Alan Wakes Nightmare whatever that is):  I don't really know much about Alan wake besides that people love it.

The Witcher (I also got the Witcher 2):  I'm pretty excited for this because it seems like a good story driven RPG.

Prince of Persia:  I beat one on the gamecube and haven't played one since.

Homefront:  A FPS that's shortand hopefully fun, I could get through it and move onto something else :D.

Fable III:  Never played a Fable before, but I head this one was the worst? :(

S.T.A.L.K.E.R:  I liked metro and this seems to be along the same lines.  Is this one scarier?

Fallout New Vegas:  I enjoyed Skyrim but I'm a bit tired of the massive 100 hour plus games.  Do you think it still worth it?

Red Faction Guerilla:  Red Faction 2 was my favorite FPS (for multiplayer) of all time.  Should I play it for the nostalgia?

Rock the Witcher.

It is one of the best RPGs I have played in years.

Everything else on the list - including Darksiders - can wait. Witcher and Witcher 2 are pretty much the height of bombing.

I'm sure a man who appreciates Baldwin Glendale can appreciate what makes those games great.

Awesome Ogrebattle reference! Yeah that's the one I'm currently leaning towards.  Although I'm playing some warhammer 40k: DOW until I get more votes to see the outcome.

Definitely the Witcher and the sequel. Fantastic games and very unique from each other as far as gameplay goes.

first the witcher and then

and i really liked alan wake so, maybe alan wake if not the withcer games.

What is that a screen of?

That would be the Witcher 2.

That's impressive I wonder how my PC will handle it on max settings.  I had quite a bit of slow down in parts of METRO.  I dropped below 30 fps quite a bit on the top world.  I wonder which game is more graphically intensive.

depends if you were running Metro 2033 in DX11 mode with DX11 DoF enabled, seriously that cuts like at least half of your framerate that one effect. Other than that TW2 is more demanding, tho looks amazing with a few knobs turned down. Just stay away from ubersampling.

Check out my hype threads: Cyberpunk, and The Witcher 3!

do alan wake and homefront first, both good, both short.
