Forums - Sports - The NFL Thread 2012: Baltimore Ravens win Super Bowl XLVII

Who will win the Super Bowl? Part II

Denver Broncos 24 18.75%

New England Patriots 14 10.94%

Houston Texans 1 0.78%

Baltimore Ravens 29 22.66%

Glasgow Rangers 3 2.34%

Atlanta Falcons 4 3.13%

San Francisco 49ers 29 22.66%

Green Bay Packers 4 3.13%

Seattle Seahawks 6 4.69%

I am a wuss, but I want to see the results. 12 9.38%

Total:126

Frank Gordan was just too good that game. Not to mention that Smith guy on defense. As I exopected Alex Smith sucked.

I have to say I would take Lynch as my running back over what Denver has. Good game by the Seattle defense for the most part. It just seems the 49ers got the offense going late and won the running game battle.

hmmm maybe it's because they're in my division and I notice them more, but the Ravens are a hell of a team, so good they make Falco look good.

I actually have Houston for a loss. These predictions are more about checking records people -_-

Ravens defense is demolished and now their most inspiring player on the field is now just a coach on the sidelines. I say Baltimore will still make the playoffs but, still  actually lose more games due to the injuries.

How good is Houston's pass defense? I really haven't watched any of their games now that I think about it. Yes they will probably run down Baltimore's  throat, but Raven's offense (especially pass) needs to be locked down in order for Houston to win.

The loss goes to Philip Rivers and his six turnovers...

Only one of those was a gimme, though. The other five were the result of good defensive plays.

My old eyes must be going.  All of Rivers picks were pretty bad throws in my opinion.  The fumble wasn't his fault.  Basically what I'm saying that it toook Rivers choking in order for Manning to have the great comeback.  Also, the Broncos haven't played an entire game yet.  If they keep that up, they will not be able to beat a good team this year.  No, the Chargers are not a good team.

What?  I got a Thursday game right?  Pinch me.

You beat the bad ass Jacksonville Jaguars, the increadible rams, the epic romo, and a team  that beat the Packers that you could not in in the colts. I think you have had an easy schedule especially compared to the broncos and packers.

Where in this post did I mention the Bears?  I am agreeing with you that the Broncos have had a tough schedule so far, but now it lightens up.  If they don't start playing 60 minutes of football in the upcoming games, I would start to get worried.

I just thought I would point out you had one of the easiest starting schedules in football. I see you have Houston, and Green Bay to worry about again later. But, winning on an easier schedule than Houston and Atlanta is not one to brag about.

The Cowboys are probably better than 90% of the teams in the AFC and the Rams are better than 80% of them so I don't know about that.  Oh, and the Colts beat the Packers...  They were part of that rough Packers schedule that you mentioned.
