Rothlesburger kept annoying me converting over and over on third down and long. But, hot damn we could not have asked more from Payton.

Von Miller is back, omg if the Broncos can be better stopping the run and the offense as is good skies the limit.

Anyways, the crowd in Denver is a throng of loud, crazy, fucks; I am proud of the noise they made today.

Yeah, that third quarter was so frustrating, watching the Steelers slowly march down the field (though the 36 seconds of Broncos offense was great).

I think that the game ended in the best way possible though. An interception and three sacks to finish the game was a great ending for a defense that had been struggling for most of the game to stop the Steelers. That's what will stick in everyone's mind, along with Peyton being as good as ever.

Also, I was surprised at the Jets doing so well. I guess bringing Tebow in really pushed Sanchez to do better. It didn't hurt that the Bills aren't the greatest team.

It was really to very different halves, both sides had swagger in the 2nd half. It seems that Porter is a great pick up for the Broncos at CB, they could hardly be stronger.

It is crazy they allowed three sacks in a row. I hope guys like Von keep the TEbow alive here.

I did not see the Jets game as there were too many good ones on at once, but considering how much muscle they have had Tebow put on I doubt he will play as a normal quarterback ever. He probably would do better as a fashion model and TV evangelist all in one. Really though it would be nice to have Tebow succeed as I could care less about Sanches and the Jets otherwise. Look at this pic and say it is not funny after the first week.

Amp's really quick analysis of each Sunday game:

Was 40 N0 32 - Maybe there really is something to this head coaching job.
Buf 28 NYJ 48 - The Bills proved that they are still the Bills and the Jets silenced the critics for at least one week.
Car 10 TB 16 - The Bucs just might be better than I thought or the the Panthers might suck more than I thought. Carolina only attempted 13 rushes the entire game...
Ind 21 Chi 41 - Jay Cutler threw a ball straight into the heavens that was flown down by angels directly into Alshon Jeffery's hands for a TD. I know what I saw and it was majestic.
StL 23 Det 27- Maybe I should take back what I've said and admit that the Lions will be better than the Bears this season. Matthew Stafford led the Lions to an improbable last minute comeback against the sure to be Super Bowl contending Rams.
Mia 10 Hou 30- Houston doesn't look all that great and wins by 20. If this team stays healthy this year, they are going to be scary.
Pit 19 Den 31- Peyton Manning looks very good in his Broncos debut. Ben Roethlisberger does not look so good for the Steelers.
Atl 40 KC 24 - Matt Ryan looks like the near perfect QB in a game that really doesn't matter much in the grand scheme of things. I'm sure that the Falcons will get blown out in the first game of the playoffs again this year.
NE 34 Ten 13 - The Patriots look great as usual. That team pisses me off.
Sea 16 Ari 20 - The Seahawks are allowed to use four timeouts in the second half and still can't manage a way to win. Noname's prediction that the Cardinal starting QB wouldn't finish the game is frighteningly accurate.
Phi 17 Cle 16 - Michael Vick has the worst game in the history of his life, but wins. He thanks God that he was playing the Browns.
Jac 23 Min 26 OT- Two titans step toe to toe to find out who's the worst. Just when the Vikings thought that they had proved their point, the Jaguars show them how losing is done (in OT under new rules). This is a loss for the ages.
SF 30 GB 22 - Despite the Packers having a TD given to them when the officials didn't call an obvious block in the back on a return and numerous other bad calls in their favor that made Jim Harbaugh froth at the mouth like a rotweiler, the Packers still lose at Lambeau Field. What a dismal season this has been so far for the Packers. All alone, they are the bottom feeding cellar dwellers of the NFC North.

Best football game ever!

That Bronco game last night was drool worthy. I flipped my shit seeing Porters interception.

Well that was an interesting weekend! Bummed out about the GB game; the defense still needs a ton of work. On a related note: the refs need plenty of seasoning too. I did enjoy Al Michaels' open contempt for them, though.

I understand that the schedule was weak, but people also say this about the '72 Dolphins.  It should take away from their record.  I would argue that the close games were decided by Brady since their defense wasn't that great. Trust me, I don't like Brady either, but I have to admit that he's a great QB.  I great QB that I laughed at when he lost the Super Bowl that year.

Was the argument that he isn't a great quarterback? I didn't go that far back in their discussion, but if so then I misunderstood. Brady is a great quarterback. I just don't think he's as much of a cornerstone on his team as Peyton Manning was (is?) on his, i.e. even without Brady the Pats would still be pretty damned good, albeit less good than they are now. I give a lot of credit for that to Darth Hoody, dark lord of all that is NFL.

Anyone watching the Saints game? RG3 looks damn impressive and so do the skins.

I'll give him his due, he certainly didn't look like a rookie out there, and the team as a whole looked much better than I thought it would. Between them looking like this and the Eagles looking like...that....my predictions for the NFC East are threatened week one!

The only close games were the Ravens and the Giants in the regular season. Everything else was a blowout or close to one. I admit that we were lucky to beat the Ravens and the only reason we did was because the coaches called a horrible timeout. The Giants though was all Tom Brady throwing incredible deep passes and bringing the team back from being down.

The only superstar brady has ever had at reciever was Moss and he only came to the team late in his career. Everyone else has been no names that Brady made good with his amazing passes.

Stop acting like Brady had nothing to do with the Patriots success.

Don't go getting your panties in a bunch, buddy. Brady's good, and apologies if I didn't make that clear enough earlier. I just give more credit for the team's success to the guys off the field than you do.

Looks like everyone continues to underestimating Washington sports teams, the days of signing big time free agents who come here to underachieve are over. Building through youth and the draft are starting to pay off for our big sports market teams. I believe Yahoo pegged the Redskins to win two games the entire year...one down, one to go.

Kyle Shanahan and RGIII really have nothing to lose this year, I believe we are going to see a lot more of yesterday being the rule not the exception. Going to be exciting to watch.
