Screw the Bears for choking when the chips were down. And screw the Packers for blowing for us too.. This sucks. At least Lovie will probably be kicked to the curb. Long overdue. Can't wait to see the Vikings, and eventually the Packers get bounced in the playoffs.

Yup. And it may have got rid of another long overdue termination as well. Hester was crying about Lovie being fired and contemplating retiring. Man I hate Hester lol...

Made my picks and posting to possibly remind someone that has not picked.

Well, Reid was hired by the Chiefs, it seems like the first competant move they have done in some time. I expect the chiefs to win 5-7 games next year, but no better.

The Browns hiring of the Oregon Ducks coach Chip Kelly seems interesting as he is known to have a unique offensive perspective.

Crap, ESPN's experts all picked the Packers. Now I'm worried...

I kinda like the Packers to win also but just barely should be a very close game.  The reason I think they will win at least one playoff game unlike last year is because they actually showed up and played for the last couple of games of the regular season something that they didn't do last season.

I would say that Tony Dungy built those good Tampa Bay teams.

Yeah Gruden won that Super Bowl with Tony Dungy's players.  After he had a few years to put together his own roster, things went South.

Do you guys remeber who Gruden defeated in the Super Bowl?  It was the Raiders, the team that he built.  What's more, Dungy won the Super Bowl with the Colts who were built by Jim Mora.  He also had Peyton Manning at QB.  Who did Gruden win the Super Bowl with at QB?  That's right, Brad Johnson.  Also, Dungy only won his Super Bowl because he went up against his best buddy Lovie Smith, who seemed none too bothered that his team lost because his Bears were going to get back there and win it next year...

Dungy was with Indy for seven years.  To say Mora built those teams is ridiculous.

That 2002 Tamby Bay team was so good because they had the top defense in the league that year.  That was not Gruden's doing.  It was Monte Kiffin.  Gruden is an offensive guy.

Was Dungy with the Colts for seven years before he won it?  I didn't think so.

You are right about Gruden being an offensive guy though.  Brad Johnson had a very good year and this was a main reason that TB won the Super Bowl.  Also, he took a terribly inconsistent but talented QB named Rich Gannon and made him into a consistent Pro Bowler earlier in Oakland.  The TB defense was great, but they couldn't quite get over the hump until Gruden got there.  I would love to see what the Colts with Peyton Manning would've done under Gruden.  I suggest that it would've been better than Dungy did.

I'm confused.  Are you really being serious?  It doesn't feel like it.

It was his fifth year when he won it.  Again, Mora had nothing to do with it.

I'll take the Moore/Peyton combo over Gruden on the offensive side of the ball.  The Colts really could not have done any better on offense while Peyton was there.  They were consistently the best in the league anyway.  Bring in Gruden and the defense just suffers.

The main reason that Tampa won the Super Bowl that year was defense.  Tampa Bay had the 24th ranked offense for yardage in 2002.  They were ranked 18th for points.  On defense, they were ranked 1st for yards and 1st for points allowed.  And that was by far.  They allowed 45 points less than the second best team, and 602 yards less then the second best team.

As a Jets Fan this season was difficult to watch. So many bad decisions throughout the entire organization. Maybe our new GM will help straighten things out.

In the US the NFL is the only major sport where all the playoff games are shown on regular TV.  Today's games where kinda meh Houston barely beat Cincinnati and Green Bay is curently destroying Minnesota.  The best game this weekend should be Seattle versus Washington.
