Well if it's going to come out 6 months or more after the launch of the PS3/ 360 version, who cares anyway? Sales will be terrible. I think Arkham City Armored and the other super-late ports are going to sell very poorly.

PS3 Bioshock still scraped a million copies coming a year after the 360 version, and while the PS3 still hadn't exploded in sales either.  Can't say the same will happen here, but it's certainly a possibility.

Excellent point.  Plus, it's highly unlikely that it will take as long as 6 months to port to WiiU...

Exactly, wasnt the something awhile back about how some dev ported a game from the 360 or something and had it up and running on the Wii U within a few weeks??. Damn i cant remember the game or the dev X_X

Yup.  And then there's this quote:

Vigil Games: “We had the game at the same level as high end pc version in a matter of days and a few lines of code got the game up and running on tablet in 5 mins.”

I would guess that Infinite will arrive on WiiU in less than 2  3 months after the other consoles... hopefully sooner.

This is a personal Megaton for me. I'm a huge Bioshock fan, played 1 and 2 on the PC and bought the Vita for Bioshock, shortly before they admitted that the vita game is just a pipe dream right now...

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

This is only good news because it's regarding Nintendo. It's acceptable for publishers to treat the system as a second-rate platform and fans should be grateful of any 1-year-old scraps the master publishers decide to leave on their plate.

I think 4 months is more releastic. Although it may only take a month to have it running comfortably on the system, you have to take into account the fact that they will likely adapt things to the game pad and then quality assurance has to take place and then the mandaory month long wait after its gone gold.

Also ps3/biosjock comparison doesn't really apply. That was at the begining of this generation, ownership of both ps3 and 360 in 2008 would have been extremely rare and so there would have a been 20m strong audience for the ps3 version of the game. However in this case %99 of people who would be interested in a game like Bioshock infinite will already have either a 360/ps3.

just keeps gettin better...

what would you rather? the games not come at all, this is a good step. Hell, Wii didnt see Bioshock at all. Honestly what would you have these devs do?

May be a rumor - you should add the tag to the title and OP

Nintendo everything posted this:

first rumor, coming from Click, claims that BioShock Infinite will be released for Wii U. Click cited Take-Two’s earnings call as the source. The problem is, no one mentioned a Wii U version during the call (read the transcript in full here). Don’t forget that there were lots of people listening, yet no one managed to report on the announcement until today? Pretty fishy. There’s other evidence indicating that this rumor is silly, but I think you get the point.

It`s good for Wii U that Bioshock Infinite is coming, but it`s bad that a port will come after the game is on shelves.

I guess it really depends on how late the port is.

I have no idea how long a port takes to be made and shipped, but if there`s some Wii U specific features, it may take a bit longer.
Honestly, i`m expecting a few months before the Wii U version comes out.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now you have a decision to make!

Yeah, I know...

If the WiiU version lacks pointer control but includes tablet features, I'll buy both it and the PS3 version.

If the WiiU version does include optional pointer control and runs a bit better, I'll probably wait for it... assuming it doesn't take more than a couple of months.

Hopefully, like someone else said earlier, WiiU will get the entire "Bioshock Collection" (hopefully all of them with pointer controls), which would be awesome.

It's funny, as my two favorite PS360 franchises (Bioshock and Batman) have finally made it to a Nintendo platform. Of course, it look a whole new generation to get there, but hey, who's complaining?

Seriously though, I'm very much excited for this. I was going to get the game on PC, but now that it's (supposedly, apparently it's still not set in stone.) coming to Wii U... well that changes things. ^_^
