So... guys.. why didn't you tell me there is gonna be an Final Fantasy tactics War of the Lions anime AND a new game? I had to find out on an anime site.. I don't love you guys anymore for the next 6 hours....

OMGOMG... i never thought this day would come. FFT2? When and in wich console? I am sooooo gonna get it. It better not be on the PSP or it will never come to the west (not that i have a problem with it beeing on PSP if they release the game here).

Another important thing: keep the same combat system exactly as it is, just adding more profs and skills. No ruining the game like you did on FFTA2...

Anime is a nice plus aswell.

I am the only person here who prefers FFTA2 to the original FFT? The strange thing is that I really want to like FFT more than FFTA2 (I never cared for and moderately dislike FFT/A2's Wizard of Oz esque setting and story), but I always personally come to the conclusion that FFTA2 is the better game. Apart from story/setting in which FFT is clearly superior, I cannot think of another one. Musically, I feel the games are tied; even though FFT has a more atmospheric and 'moody' soundtrack, FFTA2's battle themes and the MIDI remix of Penelo's theme means they are even IMO. I also dislike the the fact that FFT has random encounters, in most games I don't mind, but given the length of the average battle in the game, I found it irritating. FFTA2 also IMO had better sidequests; I found getting Cloud a bit of a disappointment in FFT. I'm also indifferent about FFT's rotatable field as well, I personally found it a bit irritating in practise. Basically, I want a FFTA3 for the 3DS with a typical Matsuno setting and story.

I know its your opinion, but no way in hell FFTA2 is better than FFT. The combat system is alot worse and the pacing alot slower. I seriously cant understand how you can even say something like the opposite. I tried liking FFTA2 and i found it completely repulsive, and im a huge FFT fan since the game first released on the PSone.

Yeah the story is alot better on FFT, but the combat system and the way you custumise your chracters and unlock skills is alot more intuitive. You dont have to scour the shops to see if theres any weapons that you can learn skills from, wich more often than not are completely useless. Thats what FFTA2 felt like to me. A huge grind with no satisfaction at the end and not even a decent storyline to pull me through. All you do in the first 5 hours of the game is basically the regular attack cause all the skills you have are pretty much useless.

I really wish i could like it like you do though, as it was one of the main reasons i got a DS back in the day and because i love FFT. It was a huge disappointment (not because of the story, as that i was expecting, but the slow pacing and character build up systems).
