Forums - Nintendo - Wii U: Why it'll be a genuine game-changer

@STAGE: worst looking maybe but if the pad is utilized well it could still come out as being the best. Also, just because the wii u isnt the most powerful doesnt mean the games will look worse. The 360 was weaker than the ps3 but it got most of the superior multiplats. That is partially because of the difficulty of developing for the ps3 but still, if the wii u does well, it may be lead platform for multiplats. I wouldnt say that you can say for sure (yet) that wii u will have the worst version of next gen multiplats

Around the Network

I hope Nintendo has to do a bit of struggling with the Wii U. Nintendo trying really, really hard to get people to buy their systems is always a good thing for us as gamers. A content Nintendo, like they were in 2008/2009, led to a complete drought of franchise sequels, and my Wii wasn't used for almost an entire year. Holiday 2008 was so bad that it literally led me to get an Xbox 360 just so I'd have something to play.

Nintendo struggling early on with the 3DS was definitely a good thing. Just look at how many great games are coming out for it now.

I don't want Nintendo to take another massive loss next year due to poor Wii U sales, but I would like them to always be concerned with losing momentum, because it means on a regular basis, they will be doing everything they can to deliver great games in a timely manner. A content Nintendo is a bad Nintendo.
