I can get it for $650, what are your thoughts, and by the way I'm not a hardcore PC gamer, I might play the odd old game.

Might be a bit pricey for a refurb, although I don't know the the US to Canadian dollar conversion. Besides that it's a nice laptop. You just need to be sure if you get it to get rid of the HP bloatware.

personally the usb 2.0 would bug me... i'd try to get one with 3.0

Not refurbished don't go by that.

its a good laptop its gonna be quite big and heavy though just know that. i cant comment about price because i dont live in the usa and prices where i live are generally high. it wont run games on the highest settings but it will still be good enough to play on.

I never have problems with 2.0 speed so seems like a waste to spend probably $100 more for 3.0

If you aren't a big of gamer than it should be fine. It can probably run old game just fine depending on the settings that you use. I think it would run games older than 2006 decently.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

My laptop has two USB 3.0, and it's really nice, but I wouldn't mind trading one of them for two more USB 2.0.

I use one USB for my mouse, so that only leaves me with one extra port. Sometimes it's annoying, but usually not an issue

i live in the middle east so i really dont know about prices sorry, but the best thing to do is look for laptops that have almost the same specs and compare prices to see if its overpriced. honestly i dont think its that expensive though
