Another quick update. The producer/director confirmed that you do NOT need PS+ to play Final Fantasy XIV on PS4.

You can use keyboard, and mouse to play on PS4.

DS4 controller touchpad can be used like a mouse.

Vita touchscreen can be used like a mouse.

They're working with SONY to make a PS4/FFXIV bundle

It doesn't make much difference. PS4 will have 1080p resolution, and will display the same amount of characters on screen as PC.
