Just kidding, we don't know price or release but I would say around 5/6 Million? The pricepoint would have to be 250 - 299$.

That much?! It would be like the best launch ever :P I could see 4m just because of NSMBU and the fact that it's the first new gen in 7-6 years... but 5-6m?! :P

This would have a solid growth in hardware sales overall and provide relatively sustained holiday sales for PS360 due to new pricing and bundling options even though they are both currently in double digit YoY losses.

I think you're being too optimistic with 3DS,PSV and Wii.

Nintendo will be lucky if they manage to sell 6m 3DS and Wii sales will fall when WII U launches.

PSvita will sell no more than 2m units which will make Sony happy considering how bad the system is doing.

 

But I agree with your predictions about PS3 and Xbox360.

I think those 360 prices you listed are too high. Microsoft had lower 360 prices during black friday last holidays. I think it will at least match those prices throughout the entire holiday season this year. Also I don't see why people expect the the video game market to magically grow by a ridiculous amount after the huge drops it experienced the last two years and the even bigger drop it is experiencing the beginning of this year.

Anyway my predictions for December.

3DS sold over 5m last year. It has gained a year of games including NSMB2 and an XL version. Additionally, we will see many retailer specific gift card style discounts. I think 9m is easily doable.

PSV will be bundled like crazy. Another person posted a AC3 bundle where the game is free. I'm sure they'll do the same with CoD. It will still sale far under what Sony wants, but 3m is a safe estimate based on its sales throughout the year and what holidays usually do for a product in comparison.

Wii sold 4m last year and will be at a new lower $99 price point with various bundles and probably other retailer items. 2m is a definite.

Yep, that's why I noted there will be retialer specific specials like gift cards and such. I am listing only MSRP type pricing and expected bundles. However, if you think the MSRP of a specific bundle is too high, please let me know specifically.

The market will grow, not because of price drops (notice all old machines are down yoy in my predictions, but due to new hardware. 2nd holiday of 3DS, WiiU, and new PSV.
