I don't think Ye Shiwen was doing the Doping. I think the Americans just can't take Chinese success (it was the Chinese who said it, with absolutely no evidence).

Anyway, remember yesterday in the swimming with that mistimed beep, which threw off the swimmers? Well, something similar has happened in the rowing, never knew they had alarms...

And one of the Brits has just been disqualified in the Judo. Shame.

Everyone's talking about GB's lack of medals, but I worry more for Australia. Swimming is their strength, and they got more than half their medals in the pool in Beijing. Yet here, they only have the 1 Gold, 2 Silvers and a Bronze.

Worrying times for Australia; they have a strong first week, but they aren't showing it here.

It has indeed got real, the same as the controversy around World Record smasher, Gold medal winner and faster-than-the-men Ye Shiwen, who has been accused of Doping...

I don't know if she is doped or not. China has made great strides in the last decade. All medal winners would be checked and samples kept for almost a decade so eventually the truth may come out.

I can't help but think if she was a white european her performances probably would not be so publically questioned...but maybe that's me looking too far into it.

I disagree, a "white european" has already been kicked out because of doping.

What's that to do with anything? We are talking about someone who is accused of using drugs even though she has already been probably tested, not someone found guilty of it after testing.

Heh, that alarm is STILL rowing off in Eton Dorney. So what do you do? Turn off the starting system, get a few people to push the boats out of the gates, and use a Swedish flag to start it with a hefty roar of "GO!". That's how you do it guys!

Hopefully they'll have it sorted soon, for the next starters...

@Justin- I think it's because you said if she was a 'White European' her performance wouldnt have been questioned.

Yep, swimming is where the bulk of their medals come from and naturally their main event.

They have chances in rowing and on the track but i can't think of anywhere else.

It's looking like their worst olympics since Montreal '76.

I know, but ALL medalist would be tested and samples kept. An athlete's race or nationality have nothing to do with it where testing is concerned.

I was just saying race MAY matter when accusations are being thrown around.

No it really doesn't, there is no conspiracy. Chances are she will be cleared but that doesn't mean there's a conspiracy.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

I must admit...I don't think there's any conspiracy out there. Everyone gets tested; the only reason Ye was selected, as it were, is because she was faster than the men, set a new world record and beat Missy Frankin by a large distance, who is from the US. She's trying to do a Phelps and win 7 medals, the most for any woman. Obviously, Ye has other ideas. So the US called out the Chinese Swimmer (who are thrashing them on the medals table, ruining their chance to win it yet again), and since it was so easy to believe, everyone went with it.

It's the same with Lance Armstrong. He's the most dope tested athelete in history, yet there's a court case going on about him doping. If you're dominant in a sport, other people hate it. All you need is an accusation, and everyone goes with it.

This reminds me of Beijing, where that woman ran the 800m over a second ahead of everyone else, and she was accused of being a man. How hard is it to tell the difference between the genders??? People just 'go' with it, race, nationality, beliefs etc. are unimportant.

What conspiracy? Ajescent, you just don't get what I am trying to get across.

You are bringing "white people being found gulity" and "conspiracies" into it. What??

Let's get back to games.
