Brazilian Judo Bronze Medalist Broke his Medal while Celebrating in the Shower.....
Despite not having had any funding for the last 2 years or world class competative experience for 3 years Team GB's Womens Indoor Volleyball team (Ranked 69 in the world) beat Aligeria (Ranked 16) in a thrilling game... I actually can't believe how into it I got!

Lol, I doubt Bronze breaks that easily.

Considering it allegedly costs £3 to make...
Gymnastic medal for the me is a great result. Superb even no matter what medal. For Japanese to not get a medal it would have been a huge failure for them.
If any team should be outraged it's the Ukrainian, who lose a medal altogether.
Britain's lack of medals in the pool is rather odd. I mean world record for Women's backstroke 100m is held by a british woman who came 5th, and then they say it was a brave effort. She shouldn't be having 'brave efforts' she should be winning. I'll happily throw the same disappointment at Phelps who has been very underwhelming.
Best moment of games so far, when France pulled it back to get gold in 4x100 freestyle. A great race.
Hmm, pie.
A tight game in the Women's Archery eventually swings to our own Naomi Folkard, despite never being ahead in the match until the end. Great start!
Well, where are Team GB looking at medals today? Well, an Equestrian medal is pretty much on the cards, with GB in Silver (and close to Gold) in the Team event. Also, 2 individuals take up the 5th and 6th positions; it's possible individual medals could be dished out as well!
In the canoeing, the GB atheletes finished 3rd and 5th in the heats. There's the semis today, but the finals also. An unexpected medal?
The Gymnasts have a catalyst for success, I don't think anyone's gonna deny that. But what can they do? Can they emulate the men's success, or go even better? They're higher ranked, and came 4th in their qualifiers. Can they get yet another unexpected medal?
And lest we forget Fencing, Judo, and Weighlifing going on today. Sure, all chances are VERY outside ones, but they're still chances.
And there's the swimming as well, of course. A few GB atheletes, including Ellen Gandy, take to the pool today. We haven't really had all that much success so far, but surely it's just a matter of time?
Tomorrow is the first real day where I expect we could see a few Golds for GB, what with the Cycling time trials, the rowing and sailing finals...
It has indeed got real, the same as the controversy around World Record smasher, Gold medal winner and faster-than-the-men Ye Shiwen, who has been accused of Doping...

I don't know if she is doped or not. China has made great strides in the last decade. All medal winners would be checked and samples kept for almost a decade so eventually the truth may come out.
I can't help but think if she was a white european her performances probably would not be so publically questioned...but maybe that's me looking too far into it.

I disagree, a "white european" has already been kicked out because of doping.
