What is the Unified Team? |
That's the in-between Olympic code used for Sovjet Union after the fall of the Iron Curtain and before Russia and its former satellite states started as own countries at Olympics.

Today there's plenty of political tension and sports rivalry between most former EUN members and Russia, e.g. Ukraine and Georgia are not Russia's best friends, to put it mildly.

Mexico 1 - Brazil 0
Hopefully it wil continue this way! Brazil has been playing better, but the difference hasn't been that great.

They should get a few medals in the athletics later. They are favourites to get gold in the womens 4X400m Relay.
Once again, Brazil loses in the Olympics football? joyous!
I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but Anthony Ogogo getting a bronze yesterday was a sham in my opinion. He shouldn't have laid hands on a medal after meeting with the Ukranian, Levgen Khytrov.
Also, the womens taekwondo looked absolutely ridiculous. I was watching a match yesterday and it's hard to appreciate the skill level involved in the sport, it just looks like they hop on the spot, kicking sporadically until something lands, occasionally knocking someone over or hitting below the belt. Not entertaining at all.

Let me guess, you loved the women's boxing?
