Last I heard the page for signing up was still there & it acted like it was still 2010 or something. 

Posting in Sales threads now seems more like a duty than a Passion. I don't want to feel pressured to post in here as if its my responsibility. I want to post in here because there's something going on that really interests me. But there isn't How many big games have released for us to look analyze? Mass Effect 3....what else? I honestly don't know.

From my experience with the site, these types of threads are usually field by fans of various games, companies, & consoles who enjoy posting observations & predictions of their preferred topic. No one can do that now. In the software department, there has been little to no exclusives released worthy of attention. Hardware is bland as well.

Positive sales attracts drastically more attention than negative sales. But there are no positive sales.From every fan camp, there is no angle that any person could use to post anything actually good and worth mentioning. Fact is: The industry is probably in the boring position n VGChartz history. And because everything shit and predictable, debates are pretty much impossible. What would motivate a person to debate over which console / games will sell the least shitty? And even if people tried to debate over.the least shitty contender, they would stop debating fairly quickly for the simple fact that there isn't anything that can be debating. The year has been following a fairly conventional trend and nothing looks to change at least until this holiday. Debating over upcoming sales will br like debating what time the sun will rise tomorrow.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and less sale's data and tools is factor.

Anyway, for my obligated on-topic post: Every thing is crap and/boring. EVERYTHING

From my perspective, you're exaggerating or your memory is skewed. There were tons of NSFW threads back in the day. Pretty much every Wesslewoggle thread was NSFW. There was a thread asking how 'schlong' you were. There was a 'pornify the above game' thread. There was the 'Have you ever tossed someone's salad' thread. There was a 'have you done anal' thread. And this is just the threads big enough to stay in my memory. There were probably a lot more around that I forgot. I do agree though, these past few weeks, the NSFW threads have been concentrated around the same period, but I would say its a site trend. More just a coincidence that people made these threads within the same week. This is just a short-term coincidence. It'll probably only last a week or so. A man once told me it's the long-term actually defines the situation. These short-term trends come and go.

The reason nobody is posting is because there's nothing to talk about. Its the summer and people can only talk about how low everything is for so many weeks.

3DS continues to drop slowly but steadily leading up to the XL release. Expect HW to explode the week of the 28th, and again the week of 8/19. SW will get a big boost, too.

Vita continues to fall. Staying above 10k in Japan longer than I expected, though, so... I guess that's good?

So what does each platform have for the rest of the year?

Each company is in the calm before the storm in my eyes. Nintendo will have its sales when they release the XL and WiiU, Sony will have its sales when the super slim comes out, and microsoft will have its sales when Halo 4 and black cops 2 comes out. Just have fun, that is what summer is for.
