I think the industry is in a bit of a slow period I'm starting to realize. Like Alby said, even combined the home and portable consoles aren't selling the 100k+ weekly sales we used to see.

Two things I noticed in Europe. There are barely any Wii games in the top 30. Also, the LEGO DC Heroes 2 Xbox version is killing the Wii version in Europe.

Another thing I noticed, 3DS games are selling horribly in the US. The momentum just isn't there even if the games are big (SM3DL, MK7). I think summer and the holiday boost will rectify Nintendo's 3DS momentum, and the WiiU will fix the Wii's lackings urgently.

I'd imagine so. I mean, the 3DS is dropping in anticipation for the XL. Expect the PS3 to be below 100k the week before the Slim launches.


I'm taking a guess the PS3 super slim is going to come out somewhere around Nov. So sales will be starting to creep up again like they normally, so do you think that it will drop below 120k mark with holidays just around the corner?

Obvious problems needed adressing a long time ago... The management didnt step up and sort it out. They were too busy protecting staff stealth trolls or promoting gamrReview.

Nope, sales will be lower than last year even with Price Drop for both Xbox and Ps3.

Which means that the slim and price cut won't do anything...? They could provide a good boost but not be enough to lift sales over last year still. I'm thinking what the slim will really help with is the sales after the holidays and the longevity of the PS3.

So you think Xbox and Ps3 will price drop so they can last longer ? i think they should be already dead and Next Gen should come out this year already.

Why you think price cut won't do anything?



PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Remove large chunks of the sales data - Check

Isolate your main userbase with "Pro" data - Check

Sack your main sales analyst - Check

Create whole new forum/ site, ignoring glaring problems on current site - Check

I enjoy a good Game thread most of the time. Some pretty good discussion, though Radish's Arse thread is perfectly fine, it's a fun thread.
