I'm sorry but this is really isn't apple's problem.  It's mostly the service provider, like AT&T, the have 2 year contracts.  So, if people want to upgrade to the newest phone when their contract is not up, they have to pay more money to do so.  Or if people have to just have the latest and best phone. Never have I seen apple put a 499 pricetag on their phones.  I usually wait till my contract is up and pay only 199.99 for my iphone.

edit**  The only time apple's phones are over that price, according to their website, is when you buy the phone unlocked and contract free.  If you do that then the prices is over $600,  which is ridiculous.

They always do this, if people know there's a price cut coming no one will buy a PS3 now.

I think they should have the 16gb slim model low cost, at least $30 cheaper than the cheapest current model, and keep the 2 other slim models the same price as the current models, for bigger profit margins.

I hope Sony doesn't resort to yearly price cuts. Why not wait until next year with PS4 and Uncharted 4 launch. Yep you heard it here first Uncharted 4 will hopefully be a launch game(damn I hope so).
