that 8month period where the 3DS literally had no games worth buying other than OoT get to you.

But even in the period after launch with only a few new games, the 3DS has much higher sales than the Vita.

The Vita hard- and software sales are way to low to return costs for good games and that is the whole problem. If this doesn't change soon the Vita has no future.

I was purely referring to its library. You stating the 3DS sold well with a poor library only makes the average videogame consumer look like an individual that isn't interested in videogames, which I don't approve of but seems to generally be the case as of late.

Your are funny Of course the 3DS has a great game library, but after his launch it has some month without many new games and sold ok because the game library was already that good. The Vita has some good games too, but has terrible low sales.

I think this week in Media Create a 3DS/PSV multiplat actually sold more on the Vita by 100 units, i'm pretty sure developers take note of these occurrences so I wouldn't worry too greatly about the Vitas immediate future.

Is this a joke or are you serious about this? Yes, there was a 3DS/Vita-Multiplat-Game (Time Travelers) and both versions had low sales. If some developer take note than they see that another Vita game has low sales and that the Top 10 has 6 3DS games (5 third party, 1 nintendo), 1 DS, 1 PSP, 1 Vita, 1 Wii.

But as always they are Nintendo games taking the top 10, 3rd party games don't sell that well and with the high ratio difference if Vita games will be on par / outsell already I see no reason to see why Panama's comment can't be taken into consideration.

This may come as a shock to some, but PS Vita does have games coming out for it later this year. Many have slated Sony and the device for it’s lack of games, but with around 40 titles already on the system and at least 20+ more to come before the end of the year, I think that the Vita is unfairly criticised.

I’m pretty sure most of the criticism the device is receiving is probably down to Sony rather than the Vita itself. Sony certainly didn’t do itself any favours with its poor E3 showing, instead opting to concentrate on Wonderbook, rather than the handheld.

Sony, it seems, immediately regretted that decision, with Worldwide Studios chief Shuhei Yoshida saying after the show that the company “could have spent more time – probably should have” showing off the games coming out this year. On the bright side, the hardware giant does have the opportunity to make up for this with its gamescom press conference next month – and you can bet it won’t make the same mistake again.

Unannounced titles at gamescom could include the widely rumoured Medal of Honor and possibly even some form of Monster Hunter title, while those of a more hopeful nature will be desperate for a new game from the legends that are RockStar Games.

Personally I’d love to see a western style RPG on the system and a date for the long awaited PSOne support, although it remains to be seen what Sony has up its sleeves.

Then there is the promise of a more Vita centred Tokyo Game Show from Sony and of course, the Japanese event -PlayStation Heaven, which we are told will take place soon. This is likely to include Japanese-centric titles, though that doesn’t mean we won’t see them over here (Soul Sacrifice was revealed during the last event).

So yeah, things are looking good for PS Vita at the moment, although if Sony fails to deliver at gamescom then, once again, we’ll have to put up with the “Vita is doomed” merchants.

While we wait for gamescom to arrive, I’ve compiled a list of the PS Vita games we can expect to see before the end of 2012, I’ve probably missed a few, but if I have simply post them below and i’ll add them in for you.

Anyway, I think it’s a pretty good list and I’m excited to see what else Sony comes up with for the system for this year and beyond.

The Vita is a fantastic machine and I for one am glad it exists.

Nice list...  So if we take out all the non-exclusives what does the list look like?  I'm asking because exclusives seem to be really important to some people so it'll be interesting to see that list as well.

Vita is definetly the prettiest Handheld ever made. I would buy it if mobile gaming would appeal to me.

I think that's what it would look like.

Sony. I hope they do.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

The first two games should be enough to boost sales significantly, as long as COD ends up closely resembling its console counterpart without any serious issues.  I really hope they're allocating enough resources to make this game awesome, and as much as I am against the way activision has handled this franchise with their annual installments, the thought of playing cod multiplayer on my vita is almost too much to handle.  Cant wait.

It's a good idea. But I'm afraid it's console counterparts will/might out-shadow the HandHeld Versions.

Perhaps your fears are misplaced. There are many examples of games releasing a handheld and console counterpart where both have sold reasonably well even despite the fact that the handheld counterpart was a crippled version of the console game. Now that the handheld devices are actually competant, I expect them to sell even better than in the past. Also, they are completely different experiences than the console counterparts. I would be more worried if the handheld versions were just gimped console ports . That being said, I'm starting to think the new CoD on the vita will not do as much for the vita as hoped because I genuinely expect it to be a terrible experience. I know absolutely nothing has been shown about it, and that's what scares me the most. Assassins Creed Liberation white 4 gb bundle will be what sells the vita this holiday if anything.

I place my bets on the AssCreed bundle, too.

CoD just seems like an all around Console experience, or at least, that's what the fan-base seems to like the most.

I disagree with that statement. If anything, CoD has the greatest potential on portables than most because of its competitive and personalized nature which makes the squandering of it that much more disheartening.
