I am also on the fence, but I'll likely get one for ZombiU and Pikmin 3. So long as it's below £250 and bundled with plenty of free SW like the 3DS and NintendoLand...

I have a price-limit, too. It must be below 250$. Or else I'll be getting a DS Lite/Pokemon White 2.

Looks like you will be getting a DS lite.  There is no way it will release for 250.  I'm thinking it will be at least 300.  You should just save up 50 pr so dollars more.

It's not like I can just save it up. I need Birthday's, Holidays, and random cash from my parents to save things up. I don't have a job so that's why.

Its ZombieU thats got my attention, it looks so damn good. Obviously the First party games are going to be high quality in HD (not that they didnt look good in SD) And shame on you Snowdog for not liking Mario lol i recommend you lock yourself in a room with Mario galaxy 1 & 2 and dont come out until you are converted :D

Both of those games are fantastic, probably the best level design seen this gen, but I can only play them (and Super Mario 3D Land) in small doses. He really gets on my nerves lol.

I'm still on the fence about it, I have never cared for pikmin and I'm getting kind of bored with 2d Mario games. The rest of the launch titles are mainly just ports, but I'll get one when they bring out a new zelda or metroid for sure =D

I would say there's more MULTIPLATFORM titles than ports... I thought the same too about Mario but it is just so fun that I always fall for him.... I want ZombiU soooooo bad!!!!!!!!

Yup, I've seen plenty of people on other forums who's interest has been piqued by ZombiU. For my money the U is going to have several system sellers at launch or soon after launch - NSMB U, Pikmin 3, ZombiU and Lego City Undercover around launch and Aliens Colonial Marines early next year. I'm expecting the Wii U to have sold around 10-15m units by the time the PS4 and 720 launch (assuming they both launch the same sort of time next year), and the sales of ZombiU, (possibly) Assassin's Creed 3 and definitely Aliens Colonial Marines combined with the fact that Nintendo have chosen a similar architecture to the PS4 and 720 will see that it will continue to get multiplatform games next gen too.

It's a shame that Nintendo decided not to scrap Gamecube backwards compatibility this gen and have a GPU with programmable shaders otherwise the Wii could have been the PS2 of this gen with regards to multiplatform titles. Contrary to popular belief the power of the Wii wasn't the main thing stopping ports of the big name titles, it was the TEV Unit in Holywood (and Dolphin before it in the Gamecube).

I can see the U being the lead SKU for multiplatform titles next gen and supplying up-ports to the PS4 and 720.

So all of this 'I'm not buying Xenoblade, I'm saving for a WiiU!' is all just hoping it'll be ridiculously cheap? :O

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

I still don't know when, but I'll probably get one, most likely mid next year. Main sell points:

HD - not graphical power, but one of the main quirks I had with the wii is resolution. It simply looks too blurry on HD tvs. Most, if not all, Wii games would look gorgeous on HD+ resolutions.

Gamepad - as soon as I started playing with the DS, the whole home console thing took such a hit, I never was able to enjoy them again. Games like Zelda PH and Professor Layton shocked me, they still do and Wii U is about (hopefully) to bring this feeling to the TV.

That, WiiU already has several interesting games that could totally become a hit! And most are targeted to the core audience or both, the new and the core! Yeah, same here, just like the PS2 was, it's the best way developers could work being the U easier and cheaper to work with!

Yes. 250$ is all I can do. Right now I only have 90 something. My birthday I only get like 100 dollars. Then I would trade in my Wii and by that point I would have around 220$. I could probably ask my parents for some loose cash to get up to 250$ by then, but that's it.

If it's over that price I'm not sure what I'll do. (though I do want the new Pokemon.)

If I was still a Nintendo fanboy, I would probably get it.

But last year Sony showed me the dark side, and I ain't never goin back!

Well, I might get it, but not for a few years at least.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

One question. You have a 3DS so why would you get a DS lite to play Pokemon White 2??.

Because the 3DS sucks at playing DS games.

I could probably live with it but I don't really want to. (Plus there is a GBA slot.)
