Forums - PC - Which F2P games on Steam are the best?

I used to try out every new F2P game on steam when it came out, but after encoutering so many subpar games(by my standards) I stopped. Who here still plays F2P games when they come out?

The only ones I still play are Stronghold Kingdoms, because it only take about 2 minutes a day of investment, and Alien Swarm.

Also, which MMOs are best on the list?

Tribes Ascent is a very good f2p FPS.
Also DC Universe i think is a pretty good F2P MMO.

Oh yeah I forgot about those. I was a beta tester for Tribes and I liked DC universe but I could never find anyone to play with so I gave those up. I was hoping for more info on the games that have been released within the past month or two. I stopped playing them at the beginning of May.

Team Fortress 2*
Blacklight Retribution*
Microsoft Flight
GoldenEye Source

*but you have to patch both of these for a billion years.

I was hoping for overviews of the one that weren't big name and popular. I'm looking for the hidden gems.

TF2 and Tribes are very good.

Tribes: Ascend is fantastic. I've heard good things about Blacklight too.

Dota 2.

I recently got into CrimeCraft: Gang Wars. It's pretty fun.

Also, if you like zombie games you should check out No More Room In Hell (a mod). It's a lot like Left 4 Dead.

I've tried Crimecraft but No More Room in Hell is new to me. I will check it out.

If I'm not mistaken, is that the game where you play as the characters taht always start at level 1 and you have to destroy totems to let your soldiers reach their base and destroy it?
