Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter has predicted that Microsoft's next generation console will follow the smartphone business model. The console itself will be cheap, but users will have to purchase a subscription.

"I’m pretty confident that in the US Microsoft is going to partner with a cable TV provider, so I expect that the console will be priced like a smart phone," said Pachter. "I expect you’ll be paying $99 for the console with a cable TV subscription."

He continued by making another bold prediction that the console will be a Smart TV and will use SmartGlass day one.

"Console will have to be multiple purpose devices, though. The Xbox 720, this is my prediction, is going to be your television as well. You’ll be able to tune into television through it. You wont need a 'smart TV' when you’ve got an Xbox 720, it will be your television and your internet. It’s going to be open architecture and I think it’s real trick will be that one Xbox will be able to display television to as many screens as you have in your possession."

----I give this a -2 because I think pachter is a idiot and is usually wrong. I would rate it worse but I'm not ruling this out. -----

0 because i'm not sure what way this is going to go. I would actually give it a higher score if it wasn't pachter predicting. lol

See i get the idea of it, but why does michael act like this is a microsoft exclusive idea? This isn't even a hard business model, both Nintendo and Sony could easily do it if they wanted to(talking about the subscription)

There are no glory articles. There are doom articles and then there are articles that by real devs.

Galaki aproves this thread.
Nintendo is doomed. Everyone is doomed.
Doomed! Hahahahahaha!

Ok. Good. Err.
So far 3 new consoles: 3DS, Vita and Wii U. Perfect rate as the 3 are doomed. Waiting for PS4/720 doomed threads.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

A PS4/720 is doomed thread would likely be an automatic ban.

This article is making fun of the doomed articles if you did not get that. This is a way to rate, dismiss and honor articles as they are. Also fact check.

Also this artilce is meant for all consoles. It's meant to be funny and have  laugh at all the nonsense going on. We will get a lot coming into the new gen.

I'm not talking about the article. I'm talking about this site.

I've seen posters get straight up insulted and harassed for speaking ill of Sony on here. The moderation here is biased and above the law(ie, they don't have to abide by the rules that everyone else does).

When you get threatened for quoting offical news word for word, you know that there is a problem.

GLORY! article.

===============================================================================================================================================================================================================================

Jeremiah Slaczka, the CEO of Scribblenauts developer 5th Cell, has stated that the Wii U is "definitely more powerful than Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3," adding that he finds the argument over the console's capabilities "frustrating".

Speaking in the latest issue of Game Informer, Slaczka said that the Wii U is "definitely more powerful than Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It's kind of frustrating to see the rumours and speculation of people going back and forth saying it's weaker or more powerful. It's definitely more powerful."

5th Cell is currently developing Wii U title Scribblenauts Unlimited, the fourth game in the word-based puzzle action series.

"I think we were one of the first developers to see the Wii U," he added.

"Nintendo came to our studio and demoed it to us. A couple of weeks later Warner Bros. got to see it, and we said we should do this. This game was originally a Wii title but later moved to Wii U. It's been about two years in development."

This is my take on this article.

I give this a 4 because I think for sure the Wii U is more powerful then ps360. I highly doubt that Nintendo this late in the gen is going to come out with something less powerful. They can out do ps360 and still keep it cheap. I did not give it a 5 because I don't think it will be way more powerful however is possible.

I would think it would rate a 1, maybe a 2. A 4 is a rather extreme case of "almost unadulterated glory", this is really nothing more than "it's more powerful", with no further details. And it draws no conclusions about how the Wii U will perform due to it.
