Lots of titles I've never heard of (nor want to)... Hopefully this doesn't continue as it is going to give the Wii a bad reputation. I'm sure some of it had to do with the holidays but we need to get a steady flow of top notch games to play... |
You're right. Shovelware absolutely destroyed the PS2, PS1, SNES, Genesis, and NES.

good list, but you know the shovelware will outnumber them 5:1 |
That's the price of being the Market Leader, or has been since Sony took first place in the PS1 era, the era of strict Quality Control died with the SNES because a lot of the time those shovelware games oddly sold systems.

The Wii shelves are full of trash in a way the PS2 or PS1 never saw.The other day I was taking a look and SMG was just in the middle of the worst lineup I have ever seen.Dogz,Horsez,TriWiial,Cooking Mama,Wii Academy, lots of flash games turned into wii games...even most of the high profile games as Mario Party ,Link Crossbow or Sonic and Mario were crap and bordering the shovelware quality...

Numbers are like people. Torture them enough and you can get them to say anything you want.

yep, just like all generation leaders, Wii will have an unending supply of shovelware.
Bad games don't make a bad library. The lack of good games makes a bad library, and the Wii has no such weakness.
The huge portion of 3rd party games being as shitty as they are is due to the Wii's sudden success catching most publishers with their pants down. Games of all types are starting development all the time, and it's only logical for the bad ones to get here first.
After I saw Mr. Mosquito for PS2, no shovelware is able to make me get pist.
shovelware will always be allocated to the most popular console with the biggest userbase/software sales. it doesn't help that wii games are dirt cheap to develop.
sorry but the shovelware aint going nowhere.
