Forums - Sony - PS3 Super Slim exists, and here it is! Update2: Comparison PS3 vs PS3 Slim vs PS3 Super Slim

I was comparing my first gen PS2, PSTwo, and the smaller PS3. From the comparison pictures, the PSThree is about inbetween the PS2 and the PSTwo. Though it's about as small as the smaller PS3 should have been had they taken out the power brick.

I don't know about you guys, but, it's looking like it's time to buy a 2nd PS3...

Um... But, what if I get a 3rd... what about all my DLC games, like Virtua Fighter 5, and Sonic CD, etc, etc... We're only limited to two consoles, but, what if we have more?

Nah. I really don't think they are going to concentrate that much on xbox 360 after this year. Actually kinda surprised sony is releasing a PS3 superslim.

At this point they're probably concentrating more on bringing the PS3 to develeoping nations. This design could probably be the cheapest they could get it. To combat the 360/Wii U, they will probably keep the current model. IIRC, Sony released a redesigned PSP that never got out of Europe. This PS3 may be the same.

That PSP was lacking, and near the end of it's life. The PS3 is far from dead, and has big numbers to make up. Sony's not in the best condition. Whatever cuts they can make to make the PS3 cheaper anywhere while it's still alive will be great from them. They still need to release Beyond, last of us, etc, and there's millions of people who need to play catch-up.

The only thing left is a second controller size-option for all the complainers.

Not to mention.. the price will have to drop, and the new model will have to release everywhere, because everyone's going to stop buying PS3s until they see this thing in store shelves.

If they can decrease the price to $150, I'm getting a PS3.

I am getting another PS3 if they drop it to $199. And I really like how small the new version is...since it will likely be located in my small office, smaller PS3 the better.

I hope pricing goes like this:

- PS3 (16GB) is $149,

- PS3 (250 GB) is $199

- PS3 (500 GB) is $249

you can either deactive the PS3 you don't want to use them on anymore in the account management option on that PS3 when you are logged into the account

or if you want to deactive a defective PS3 you can deactivate every PS3 on your account on this website http://store.playstation.com/login.gvm once every 6 month and then activate the ones you want on your account by simply loging in with them again (maybe you have to dl the games again, I'm not sure about that)

Interest piqued yet again, but I'm not interested at the moment unless it's backwards compatible. I may buy it eventually most likely in the twilight of PS3 life just as I did PS2 slim.

oh that's cool that you can deactivated defective consoles. I didn't know you could do that.

Now I'm sure you know that won't come in these new models. Especially if it launches at $149 and $199.

The best we can hope for is they bring back BC via firmware update.
