BioWare reveals cross-platform F2P RPG Ultima Forever

EA BioWare has announced it’s restoring “the first great Western RPG” in Ultima Forever: Quest for the Avatar, giving players the chance to return to the series in a cross-platform RPG.

The newly opened Ultima Forever website is short on specific details but states that players will be tasked with saving the land of Britannia as either a fighter or a mage, travelling alone or with friends. There’s no word on what form the cross-platform play will take.

The site is accepting beta sign-ups.

I take it this is Bioware Mythic.

or one of the other 5 studios under the Bioware label, BioWare Social (San Francisco bassed) is a likely candidate.

So this is a reboot?

this is going to end worse than Mass Effect 3's ending.

I don't think this is an MMO

can't imagine it any different from Ultima Online, with a more traditional classic ultima gameplay.

I doubt it's anything like the extreamly ambitious Ultima Online with it's fully persistant sandbox structure. This is described as a action RPG that you can play by yourself or with freinds with 2 classes I doubt they are anything alike even if this is an MMO which I still doubt. Most likely this is a browser/cellphone action dungeon crawler with a co-op option. 

Back to Trammel it is. UO was the first MMO i tired, it was fun for a while.

Lady British? Whaaaaaaaat? Action RPG? C'mon Bioware, wasn't ruining Dragon Age enough? This sounds like the stupidest thing ever, just let the Ultima franchise die.
