The PSP is a beast. I was playing God of War Ghost of Sparta (PSP game) on my Vita last night and I was shocked how good the PSP's graphics looked. It really makes it hard to justify going to the Vita. Yeah, the Vita is a lot more than just graphics but with PSP games looking that good, I can see how the thread's title is true. Not sure how the OP supports this, though. Are those really big franchises in Japan?

One Piece is the biggest Manga/Anime in Japan

Indeed.

Well... yeah... but it only loses slightly to a few family animes, so technically it's the biggest of the ones that count - unless Chibi Maruko-chan is really that important to any of us - hint: it isn't

Well, yeah, it's not killing, but it's delaying the inevitable circle of life of systems, which can be a very dangerous thing to do, as the 3DS is growing and it'll grow even more starting in a month or so.

This "pure profit" argument may very well be viewed as "pure loss" in the future.

and the Xperia play can't touch PSP games.. it can play Psone games and android games though..

One Piece pulls good TV ratings (right outside the top 5 usually), but does horribly in DVD/BD sales. There are numerous other shows that are far more popular on the anime alone.

Indeed. The PSP is destroying the Vita in Japan, and it would look as though it'll only get worse.

Meh. It makes monies for Sony. That's what they really need now

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

The PSP IMO is just slowing whatever momentum the PSV has/had. The 3DS is the real one 'killing' the PSV, as what the PSV needs is a new mainline entry is high profile Japanese 3rd party series; the 3DS has the likes of Resident Evil: Revelations, Monster Hunter 4 and Shin Megami Tensei IV, what does the PSV have?

Lost Heroes Play Video

Gameplay from the multiplatform dungeon RPG.

We've seen a couple of trailers for Lost Heroes before. Now here's a look at some pure gameplay.

3DS owners can download a 3D version of this clip via the e-Shop.

Although its great that sony make money from the psp (for now), its incredibly dangerous to have such a big title as a psp exclusive. The Vita is probably a Multi billion $ investment. Sony can't simply afford to allow the PSP to steal its momentum for short term gain because that could result in sony having no hold in the handheld market for the years to follow. As the PSP's life winds to a close, people will look towards the 3DS instead of the Vita.

In my opinion, abortion is not killing.
