Possibly a strange question, i use to stand my old PS3 vertically, got a new one a while back but my house gets very hot in the summer and things tend to overheat, does anyone stand the new Slim PS3 vertically without any problems or will it just topple over easily if i dont invest in a stand?

You need to get a stand for it, it's risky to leave the slim on it's side I've heard.

Do you have a ventilator at home? Just turn it on for a few minutes when you have the feeling it is going to overheat.

Thought as much it didnt seem anywhere as sturdy as the old phat boy

No i just have to open a window and hope for a breeze, you wouldnt think heat would be a problem in the UK, but my house is so well insulated it gets hot fast on a Humid Day.

My 360S heats quicker when vertical and ive noticed the same with my 60gb ps3.

To be fair i dont know it wont, i just thought it would have more ventilation with less of it touching the desk, could be wrong like

Tip: Put empty DVD/BLURAY/CD case/s on the bottom of the horizontally placed console. 

It ventilates the bottom. 

Now theres a plan!

Better than nothing right?
