Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo says: ‘We Can’t Promise Wii U Won’t Be Excluded From Next-Gen Multi Platform Games’

the key is "he thinks" as in he is making an assumption on how much of a graphical leap MSony will make. but as nintendo's value system is so drastically different from MSony his opinion is about as valid as pachters.

Yah, we heard the first time :P

good chance it will be ignored again. soon as the next gen consoles come out it the wii-u will be lightyears behind the nextbox and ps4.

@happy - sorry. posting on an iphone is always difficult. :(

Yah, hopefully by then Nintendo will have enough to kick ass in its own market and you'll be wishing you had one

I do not want them to promise that there will not be some games held back from Nintendo. I want them to promise that they will be more aggressive in getting these games on the Wii U. That is all I ask, is that they actually try this gen.

I don't even mind anymore. As long as 3rd parties give a decent effort to the U, the U doesn't need multiplats. Seriously. If people need those games so much they should just get a twin console.

Your kidding right?

They need to be competitive and they need to just not ditch their console this time. After five years Nintendo should still be making plenty of Wii U titles. That is what ultimately hurt the Wii. No games. Nintendo alone cannot keep people busy Padib. They need decent third party games. I can beat a Mario game in a few days - a week. What am I supposed to do the rest of the month? Go out to a random park with trucks and people and trees in the back ground and do endless handstands? No. We need third parties, and they are not going to step up to the plate without some motivation from Nintendo.

Hahaha :D @topic hehe These games don't need to be multi-plats though, that's what I was saying. They can be 3rd party exclusives to the WiiU, kinda like ZombiU, which could be late ports to the twins later if needed.

People saying the Wii U is "barely" more powerful than the PS3 and 360, I want to ask "barely relative to what?" How do we know what the Wii U is capable of? We know what the PS3 and 360 are capable of, but we haven't really seen anything in terms of the Wii U.

Yes, I agree. ACtually there were quite a few Wii games that did better on the Wii than they did on the system the Wii port them from. Okami is one example.

Yeah. My thought is that since the strategy worked on the Wii, partner confidence should be stronger. On top of that, Nintendo is bridging its home console even more to its portable console with the dual screen, portables being a market where Nintendo has eternally dominated. So, it gives hope to see 3rd parties embrace the platform and no longer care about what's going on the twins when it comes to being profitable AND creative.
