Forums - Gaming Discussion - F#@&!!!! I can't do this anymore! (Explicit content)

What's crazy is that I have both Dead Space games and Dead Space 3 looks like a day one purchase.....but I've logged in less than 1 hour combined on each of them. I've always felt like "This is an awesome game! I'll play it when I have nothing else to play!" and then, I never play them.

I have a week off from work so, starting tonight, I'll jump between Dead Space and Mass Effect 1. Hopefully, I'll be finished by next week.

That was pretty accurate, except with a little less frequent screaming

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

Just wait for Dead Space 3. It looks like they took all the scary out.

@OP: Select your favorite limb cutting tool, aim at limbs and pull the trigger. If you die, reload and repeat. When you will get good at this dead bodies will be scared of you and hull breaches will from so you can advance.

(need to play Dead Space 2)

Psychological horror is way worse than gory horror imo. But to be fair, Dead Space has a bit of both, yet you have a lot of awesome weapons to help you. In Amnesia, however...

LOL! I was actually watching that a few nights ago. xD

Oh god what was that!?

I can't take this shit!! I'm gonna lose my mind.

But I have to finish it. I'm already four hours in.

I just have to get to that panel across the room. One step at a time.

*Crack!*

OH GOD OH GOD I HATE THIS!

Okay I finally made it. Great now I have to go into another room. Fabulous.

Oh shit, there's a body right in the middle of the hallway. It's gonna come alive and kill me or some shit. I just know it is. I'm not going forward. I have to stay right where I am and not move... Okay I'm got getting anywhere with this. Let's just get it over with. *walks toward body*

*WHOOSH* *body carried away by vaccuum from sudden breach in the hull, followed by scary noises*

FUCK!!! SHIT BALLS!

Then I repeat the steps above until I make it to the nearest save station, save my game and get the Dead Space disc the hell outta my PS3 and play Kirby's Epic Yarn or something like that. Then, a week later, I'll take out Dead Space and try again. But it's always the same thing.

I'm a wuss. A scaredy-cat. I can't seem to play Dead Space for more than half an hour before I get scared to death. When I first started Dead Space, I hadn't played any scary game at all, so I was like "I'll get the best effect if I play it at night!"

So I started playing Dead Space last September at 11:00PM with only my 40" TV on, and plugged in my surround headphones.

Needless to say I never did that again.

But now, even with all the lights on in my basement, I this game still scares the shit out of me even when I'm playing at 2 PM.

I really wanna play this game, but I don't see how I'm gonna finish it at this rate. Today was the first time I'd played it in probably a month, because I know I get so scared whenever I play it. What do I do?

Same.

I've finally started playing it, too. Just started the second level.

Don't play it at night! That's the worst time!

And... do you think it is scary at all so far?
