Forums - General - andy griffith dead at 86

http://www.tmz.com/2012/07/03/andy-griffith-dies-dead/ ---link. Andy griffith died at the age of 86. I still was the andy griffith show on tvland, from time to time. You might also remember him in matlock. He is survived by his wife and daughter. His cause of death is yet unknown, but he was 86,so I'm assuming it's from natural causes.

NOOOOOOOO!

What the fuck!? I know he's an old man but he wasn't supposed to die! Hell, he's my profile pic on Gamesradar. Damn. :(

Matlock was a pro.

Now you have to change it to the superior (but equally dead) George Lindsey.

Or Don Knots.

It's pretty sad, actually.  Watching re-runs of the Andy Griffith Show with my grandma was one of my fondest memories of my childhood.  Maybe, in some subconcious way, it influenced the direction I took in life (to a degree--I don't remember the episode where Andy arrested a guy and then had sex with his girlfriend).  I even watched Matlock with her when I got older.  She liked shows like that, In the Heat of the Night, or Murder She Wrote.  For some reason, this death is bothering me more than most celebrity deaths.  I'm actually kinda tearing up.

Episode 3-18, "The Loaded Goat".

He's about as old as one of my grandparents. I too remember a lot of Andy Griffith reruns when i was little (used to be TBS had it on daily, that and The Beverly Hillbillies).

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

This is too bad. He had some great shows.

though I'm only 20 watching the andy grifith was a part of my childhood as i live with my grandparents and they'd watch tv land, may he rest in peace
