Let's keep it to no spoilers. Just want to get my 2 cents about the game because I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

I held off buying Uncharted 3 for the purpose of waiting for the price to go down. That's actually what I do with every PS3 game (aside from humongous things that I can't hold off). Anyway, I've been waiting and waiting but my wife decided to buy the thing as a surprise anyway (best person ever). Every time I played it, she sat beside me to help me with the puzzles. She's very much into the National Treasure/Indiana Jones type of movies so she was very interested at how the game played out (funny, just like the Kevin Butler ad).

Positives:

+I can't say enough how good the game looks. It just looks amazing, and it rivals the top PC games out there.
+The dialogue and the story overall are very well made. I like the characters a lot. My wife finds the whole thing to be very amusing and at the same time mysterious.
+OMG the action. There are sequences in the game that just make me sweat and start yelling.

Negatives:

-Sometimes it's hard to see where to go next. The color scheme in dark places is rather too dark sometimes and I can't see anything. Other times, the view is too cluttered with inane objects.
-The AI is kinda stupid. They seem to follow a very basic path of action and there's a lack of variety in their actions. Why would a guy just run up to me while I'm shooting him?
-The plot gets a little too assuming at times. The characters seem to just "know" something out of the blue and it's hard to know where they got the information.
-Combat system is getting old. It feels really archaic already and needs to be updated.

Overall, 9/10. I'd say Uncharted 2 was a better game because it had some nice innovations in it. Since this is newer, the gameplay issues need to be addressed but the overall atmosphere still makes it an amazing experience.

Best game of 2011.

Played it up to chapter 16 over a friends house like it a bit better then the second game which I played all the way through and beat once.

I personally enjoyed fighting the giant bald guy five different times. Maybe they were clones?

Also, am I the only person that thought Uncharted 2 looked better? Uncharted 3 looked better technically, maybe, but I thought UC2 had a much better color scheme. At almost any particular time in Uncharted 2, there was like every color shown in the environment. It all seemed so vibrant and they had more pop. For example, red would contrast with green,and this made the colors seem more powerful.

While in Uncharted 3, the environments seemed focused on less colors at a time. There were usually only a few colors used in the environments which dominated the setting. Maybe this was delibrate, I don't know. I just know UC2 color scheme was more pleasing to the eye than UC3. Some people probably like UC3 visuals better though. Also, UC2 seemed 'cleaner' than UC3. Is it true that UC3 had no AA?

One of the best parts of the game for me was the horse back fights.

I disown you for taking so long to play this game. I played this game to death and the uncharted series is the only games I ever platinum. I'm glad you liked it. I loved UC3 and found it better then UC2 since it improved everything from UC2 and made it better. I just hate how everyone doesn't like UC3 as much because they believed it would have such a big leap that UC2 had over the first one.

About AA, No, Uncharted 3 used a different kind (MLAA) using the SPUs, I think it looked better, but maybe some prefer the look of what's used in U2. And agree about the colours, U2 seemed... brighter? The only section of Uncharted 3 that used colours in the environment as effectively as U2 is when Drakes a kid in spain Colombia. But I think U3 still looked better overall.
