Uh...maybe because they don't HAVE THE CONSOLE.....
Monster Hunter was made famous on the PSP, its expected that the Vita will follow.

That's why I mentioned the money factor, but I wanted to focus more on a fanboy standpoint, people who hate it just because is in another console.

True MH was made famous by the PSP, but the Vita doesn't necessarily have to follow, it will be like saying the Final Fantasy series should have followed Nintendo platforms because the series was made famous by the NES and SNES

This, and not to mention the fact that it has been known for some time that MH would be on 3DS and not VIta, so if one was really a fan of the franchise they would get 3DS and not Vita

Here's what doesnt make sense. 3DS has been out for some time and it has been known that MH would be on it. Vita just released and as of now there isnt going to be a MH on it. My thing is if these people opted to get the Vita ANYWAY, then they are just plain stupid and letting their hatred of Ninty or whatever blind them

Has nothing to do with hatred or fanboyism. Just pure preference.

Vita has much better specs than the 3DS and that alone is what decides it for some people.

There's a Monster Hunter game on Xbox 360. That doesn't mean MH fans went out and bought one just for that......

what does that have to do with anything? Im a KH fan and yes Vita has better specs, but thats not stopping me from getting KH 3D when it comes out on 3DS, because im a fan of the series not the hardware.  MH is really popular in Japan, 360 not so much, of course people werent going to buy it. Not when there were 3 other viable systems to play it on.

It all depend on price and my money. I was never a PSP fan, i think it was badly marketed, just like the Vita. but, it s very cheap now and i bought it mainly for Kingdom hearts BBS, the only KH game i had missed so far (among other games i was looking into).

But to answer your question:  Yeah.  If there's a game series I like, I follow it to the ends of the earth.  That's why I have Resident Evil on PS1, PS2, Dreamcast, Xbox 360, Gamecube, Wii, and 3DS.  That's why I have Street Fighter on Snes, PS1, PS2, PS3, GBA, 3DS, 360, PSP, Dreacast, and more.  I don't let things like hardware confine me.  I play what I want to play 10 times out of 10.

You must have a lot of room for all of those games and consoles, D21!

pretty much this. people who think a game series has to be on the successor of the device it was made famous on should think twice which games they play and love but started on another companies device. i bet most who say it should be on vita own a playstation 3 and many of them play ff games on the ps3 which shouldn#t be really there with their logic.

because they don't have a 3ds? because the 3ds would be a weaker platform for a console game?

it all depends on what and who has what. I mean if a halo came out on PS3 I am sure a lot of people that had both consoles would be like ZOMG A HALO ON PS3 I am getting it.
now of course if it was like halo 3 on PS3 no 360 owner would care.

oh im sure you would find a few fanboys who would rage at that, but they would be a few

I agree 100% with that guy in the youtube video. However, for those amongst us who are actually fair minded (like that guy), I can understand why some people today would want to have all their games on a single console. This isn't the 6th generation anymore. Game consoles aren't cheap. The cost of the PS3 and Xbox 360 right now are the same as what a 6th gen console would have launched for. That's why I loved the 6th generation. In under a three year time span, I ended up buying Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2, and Xbox all brand new and all those systems combined cost me under $700.

I strongly doubt that. Some one will always complain.
