Mh isn't coming west. 3ds is region locked. Do the math.

well, even if they don't buy it in the states Capcom's major goal is Japan anyways. Plus, there are not many Vita owners in the states. Also, if Nintendo continues to hammer out these great titles some Sony users WILL adopt. My buddy is a die hard Sony fan, but he's getting a 3DS because he is also a die hard Kingdom Hearts fan.

I feel like this is all you post now.  I've seen you post several times now and it essentially was this every time.

That's why I said "if it eventually comes out in the U.S", being region locked doesn't mean they won't localize it at some point, personally I don't think Capcom will do it but who knows.

Nintendo and PC gamer

I already own a 3DS but won't get Monster Hunter 4 because it started on a Sony console. Wait. That's not the reason. I won't be getting it because it's not going to be localized for the west. Another reason could be that, my only venture into Monster Hunter was Freedom Unite, which while decent, remains an incomplete experience. I'll have to eventually finish Freedom Unite before I ever even consider Monster Hunter 4.

The reason has already been mentioned though.  Most people don't want to buy a console just for a few games.  I own every game for the Wii that I'll ever want to own, but I don't want to waste my money on the console itself.  I either play them on a friend's console, or am just waiting for the Wii U since it has bc.  I used to own a 360 for a short period of time.  Owned both PS360 and both consoles were practically identical at the time with a few other games, but never played the Gears games until recently.  I want to buy another 360 for the Gears titles eventually, but would rather not spend $200 to play them.  It'll be better to wait and see if the 720 has bc.

With both the Wii and the 360, purchasing either console will cost me more money than the games themselves have already cost me(or will, I don't yet have Gears 3.)  With 3DS and Vita, I own both portables because they already have exclusives I'm interested in, and will get more exclusives between them than the consoles will, like pretty much every portable prior to this gen has done.

i thought it was coming west?! Well that makes even less sense, why would people complain its not on Vita, unless they wanted it to be on the system cause its not region locked. That would be a legit gripe

Uh...maybe because they don't HAVE THE CONSOLE.....
Monster Hunter was made famous on the PSP, its expected that the Vita will follow.

I believe fanboyism is the right answer. If Nintendo titles moved over to PS Vita I'd buy it instantly, even if it's made by Sony

Here's what doesnt make sense. 3DS has been out for some time and it has been known that MH would be on it. Vita just released and as of now there isnt going to be a MH on it. My thing is if these people opted to get the Vita ANYWAY, then they are just plain stupid and letting their hatred of Ninty or whatever blind them

Has nothing to do with hatred or fanboyism. Just pure preference.

Vita has much better specs than the 3DS and that alone is what decides it for some people.

There's a Monster Hunter game on Xbox 360. That doesn't mean MH fans went out and bought one just for that......
