Yes, perhaps, but currently I'm trying to stay away from my multiplayer games, as I have way too many single player games to play at the moment. But if you do decide to get it, I would say the Capture the Flag mode is the best, but that's probably because I haven't tried the other modes very much lol

Seems most people agree that Super Smash Bros. is the best multiplayer ever!!

Single Player:

1. Silent Hill (1-4 ... an easy pick for me)

2. Deus Ex (1-3 ... I really don't even like to have this come in as second, but if I was forced to choose I would have to go with Silent Hill)

3. Elder Scrolls (3, 4, and 5 ... skyrim barely makes the cut and the only reason I did not include 1 and 2 is because I have not played them yet)

4. Command and Conquer (mostly referring to the original and the Tiberium series at least until number 4 which was an abomination. Red Alert series was good)

5. Ico/Shadow of the Colossus (can't really decide between the two so I'll lump them together since they have a similiar tone/style)

Multi-Player:

1. Counterstrike (I think I probably have a year in playtime on this game considering that I played it all the time for almost a decade. Mods and custom levels make the game incredibly replayable. As far as multiplayer shooters go, this game is the gold standard)

2. Battlefield 1942 and ect. (While not possessing the peerless gunplay of CS, Battlefield proved that vehicle combat in multiplayer can be just as great as traditional shoot outs)

3. Command and Conquer Renegade (I still know people that play this gem of a game from the amazing talent at Westwood Studios. It made the transition from RTS to FPS gracefully with a fun and addicting multiplayer and a decent singleplayer campaign that expands the C&C mythos. Unfortunately, EA gobbled Westwood up so we will never see a sequel, and the other C&C FPS, Tiberium, was scrapped by EA for "quality control" reasons)

4. Warcraft 3 (League of Legends and even the unstoppable World of Warcraft are greatly indepted to Warcraft 3 for its gripping story, fantastic multiplayer, and creative mod community. This game has aged wonderfully so give it a chance if you have never played it. Play the story first if you are not accustomed to RTS)

5. Dark Age of Camelot (I had to put at least one MMO on here since I have played them for about 12 years now. DaoC still stands as the best MMO experience for the PVP oriented player. More so than any other MMO it made players feel as though they were truly part of their realm, and that their combat victories actual meant something. For those unfamiliar with the game, high level players would do battle in frontier zones which were filled with keeps that could be conquered by one of three different realms. Players received powerful rewards for their victories in realm vs. realm combat in the form of access to a special dungeon, bonus powers gained for stealing relics from other realms, and a variety of abilities gained through a form of PVP experience. The game even had a decent PVE experience to it as well with frequent raids, player housing, and active guilds/alliances)
