Pokemon Conquest actually looks pretty fun. I watched some Let's Plays of it on YouTube and it's practically a Fire Emblem with easier combat system and Pokemon Characters.

Shameless plug, but if you like Ghostbusters get Ghostbusters: The Video Game (probably best to get it on 360).

Other than that--
SSX - amazing game even if it's not the type of game you typically play (nothing wrong with branching out)

Oh yeah. Ghostbusters was really good. I agree with the highlights. I haven't played the others.

Dark Souls is a must for any hardcore gamer. Dark Souls is dearly loved by everyone. Cannot say enough good stuff about it.

Dragon's Dogma. Needs more sales. Plus it's fantastic and unique and must be experienced if you call yourself a hardcore gamer.

Vanquish (lots of people recommend Vanquish in this thread, awesome). Unique shooter and ultra-cool.

There, 3 Japanese masterpieces from a guy who don't even like Japanese games.
