Forums - Nintendo - EA 'holding fire' on two unannounced Wii U games

my sims and something crap i guess

this is very old though

I actually wouldn't mind seeing Sims and/or MySims amongst the launch titles. Assuming that they're the basic game and not one of the spinoffs, that is. Both of them would be able to make really interesting uses of the Upad, in my opinion.

But what would be even better is SimCity (2013). If they released it for the Wii U a few months before PC, it could actually be the more popular version, given that it won't require an internet connection (they have less reason for such DRM on consoles) and that it can make good use of the Upad.

If I had to say what would be the best possible pair of titles they could put on the system that are known to be in development in general, I'd go with SimCity and Medal of Honor: Warfighter. Those two, along with Madden, FIFA, and Mass Effect 3, would make for a strong launch lineup from EA, and actually establish EA's support on the system.

EA release some fantastic games so this is great news for future Wii U owners

LOL!

What's lollable? Mass Effect, Battlefeild, Mirror's Edge, Dead Space, FIFA... these are some brilliant games. And who knows what they'll bring to next gen. You'd be missing out on a lot, again, if you were to miss out on EA. Suit yourself I guess.

So i will not be stupid and say that this are two new games never announced, possibly exclusive for WiiU or temporary i don't know.

Mass Effect 1 and 2 collection plox alongside Mass Effect 3.

The most you could hope for is 2.  Microsoft owns publishing rights to the first game, which is why you haven't seen it on PS3 and never will.

OT: I think we need to be saying 'at least' two unannounced games.  As established, they must be working on three launch games if they're planning on topping their two for the Wii.  However, that's the minimum we can expect.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I enjoyed Dead Space: Extraction more than Dead Space 2. But Extraction was a niche gaming experience, DS2 was a game for the mass market.

I agree. I kind of liked extraction for what it was, the problem for me though is after playing DS on pc I was expecting something similar.

Yes, they are bad.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

While I agree that SimCity would work with the WiiU thanks to the Gamepad and its touch screen, I don't want it to be released before the PC version. If EA wants to make both version, the can release them both at the same time of first on PC an then on WiiU.

Given how past PC exclusives are now selling better on consoles, launching the WiiU version at the same time as the PC one won't mean that the PC version will sell better. Even more, with the always-on internet connection, the lack of mods and other changes that they have announced and that have pissed off many PC fans of the series, the WiiU version will have no problem being the better selling one .

Seeing as how they messed Dead Space 3 up, which almost everyone agrees, they aren't the best company to have "Supporting" your new console.

Plus, we already have Mass Effect 3. And I don't even care for FIFA. BattleField is really the only good game, so far, up there.
