Why are people getting excited about this, its the same game, same graphics but only different controls.

They are excited because the first one didn't appear on the Wii, because this game has been announced as being more than just a port (with graphical and gameplay improvements) and because it will include all the DLCs.

What graphical and gameplay improvements? The only "improvement" I see is the new way of playing wit the tablet. Thats not an improvement. What DLC? Some challenge maps and Harley Quinns revenge wich is only 2 hours long?

I'm quite happy to continue to blow the minds of guys like this by being excited about this game despite already completing it on the PS3. I'm not sure when it became the norm to play things once and then never touch them again, but that isn't how my gaming life has gone.

VGChartz

Some people haven't yet tried or like me only played the first one. Maybe we should use the to each their own approach?

Hey, don't kill the messenger. You asked and I answered.

The gameplay improvements are just that, the use of the gamepad. They (Rocksteady) call it improvements in the gameplay, others may call it just other way to play the game.

The graphical improvements seems to be better textures and more detail in some places. I'm not going to argue this because, as it has been  posted, there was a discussion about it on another thread.

Regarding the DLC, I don't know how many DLCs they have launched. From the looks of it, this "Armored Edition" is like a GOTY edition. Every content released, maps, suits, missions, etc. will be included.

Well there were some pictures and it looked the same as the PS3 version, there were even reports that the PS3 version looked better. http://www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2012/06/10/batman-arkham-city-looks-worse-on-wii-u-than-ps3/

It's a port obviously and while it wont set the sales charts on fire; they will recoup their investment and it will add diversity to the WiiU userbase. If third parties want to reap good results on a Nintendo console, they better start sowing.

Oh, please. Joker looks the same on both, and the other pic can't be compared because the suit is different as well as the lighting.

At least you could have chosen a better pic like this one:

See? Some things can be argued that look better on the PS3 version (background buildings), while other look better on the WiiU version, which also has more objects on screen (the flags and the airship).

Because not everyone has yet played this game.
