The value shouldn't go down since the 3ds isn't seeing a price drop. unlike the ds lite to the dsi,this just appears to be a bigger model.

No, the Cosmo Black 3DS looks great. Also I'll wait for the 3DS XL Pro with the 2nd slider and 4 shoulder buttons, once they've sold 100billion 3DS' and have left over cash to make it.

im pretty sure they are releasing it when the standard 3DS starts making a profit on each system sold, so the little loss the y make with the XL is cvered by that profit

I'm definately keeping my launch 3ds and i going to get the 3ds XL. I loved the DSI xl. Ill just use the smaller 3ds for taking on trips and multiplayer.

Keeping the old one and buying the new one.

I never sold any hardware/software before. Not going to start now. DS (and now 3DS) are the only ones that made me buy 2 of the same system, though.

I am waiting for 3DS XL Mini.
For now, I'll settle with my regular blue 3DS.

I definitely will. Not because I love early adopting, but because the 3DS screen is so small it makes it hard to play games on it. I've actually been holding off on getting Kid Icarus Uprising just for that reason. Having a top screen basically as large as the Vita's is instant-purchase for me. 3DS games are so good, but the screen is way too small to fully enjoy them on. That's been my only gripe with the system thus far.

Don't trade it in yet.  You need to have your old 3DS with you in order to transfer all your eShop games to it.  Otherwise you'd have to buy them all over again.

System Transfer in the Settings menu.  Brings over all downloads, all save games, all ambassador games, all eShop credit, all settings (unless it is too large).
