Even if Nintendo give me 3 sticks, I'll still have something else to complain about.

I'm liking this. I've waited quite awhile for the 3DS redesign.
Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward = best game ever made.

Whilst it would've been nice, I think it would have been a mistake (as mentioned above).
Why? Well, either Nintendo let people create games that 20,000,000 3DS' can't play it on (due to no second analogue stick), or they force everyone to buy that crappy add-on, or this new 3DS, to play the new games. That ain't gonna happen.

Because 3 sticks is really dumb? Relax your balls, people wanted to see a second stick instead of having to get this.
OP:
This looks so sexy...
I was about to buy one after E3 but I held back because the screens felt really small. The new one looks magical!

I'd imagine £169, judging from prices elsewhere.
Also, we're getting it before the Americans, 29th July :D

That's the DSiXL, not the 3DSXL
Also, clearly there isn't a market, otherwise it would be added. Just face it, IF there will be a second nub attached, it won't be for another few years, so if you want a 3DS, you're gonna have to either wait for that, or just get one now.

Wow I am so blind. I just woke up lol.
I don't want a second nub, I don't care if they removed the already existing nub, and I am getting the 3DSXL. I am just saying there is nothing wrong with voicing your opinion/disappointment/excitement. Whining about people whining doesn't help.

Very true. And there is nothing wrong with voicing opinion. But when the overriding feeling is of disappointment because an unneeded attachment isn't included, perhaps someone should say there's a reason why?
Anyway, this works out almost perfectly for me. It's 4 days before my birthday, and we need another one for when I go to University (me and my brother paid half each), so if it's cheap then great!
I can understand people's initial objections to the 3DS not having a second stick but I really don't understand why so many people thought Nintendo were going to divide the 3DS user-base at this stage, effectively alienating the 15+ million people who bought their system first.
Give people a second stick and while you might placate a relatively small number of people who can't live without dual analogue, you are likely to give a much greater number of people the impression that buying the 3DS is a risk because Nintendo could at any moment introduce a new version which renders the old obsolete. (Same goes for upping the resolution)
The problem is that the current 3DS is already a little too large. It is a system that benefits heavily from portability due to Streetpass. I would prefer to see a 3DS that takes up less space in the pocket.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
