I registered a domain on namecheap.com

I dont know anything about making a website but I followed tutorials. I'm up to the point where I want to upload some files to my website with filezilla. This is where it gets tricky, I just cant figure out how to login to it. I used every form of login and password I could but to no avail, it cant connect. I have a web hosting. But neither do I know where to find the IP adresses for my nameserver, where can I find them? I cant find them in my cpanel on namecheap.

Does anyone know with what I need to login to my website and if it has anything to do with locating IP adresses to my nameserver? I'm a complete noob at this.

I'm pretty sure you just use your username/password for your cpanel? I may be wrong

EDIT:  I use filezilla too

Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League

I did that, but doesnt work. I tried with the email I signed up to namecheap, I tried with the login of namecheap, I tried with the email of the said domain... didnt work.

Do you know how to configure or find the IP adresses of my nameserver? Maybe I have to login with a hostname "ns1.xxx.com" but it doesnt have an IP adress configured.

What host do you use?

The hostname should be your website (namecheap.com)
The account name and password should be the ones your web hosting provider gave you.

Look around in the options of your hosting control panel and you might see an option for ftp clients that shows you how to use a 3rd party program to add files to your website.

Hostname : yoursitename.com
Username: Usually your username (possibly with a prefix, should be viewable in Cpanel)
Password: password you signed up with.

Also, you don't ever use your dns name for signing in. ;)

Shouldnt the hostname be my own domainname? How do I get IP adress on it? Wich account name and password? The one I used to sign up with? I get this error now "EAI No data no adress associated with noname"

So username and pass are the same ones I use to sign in to my cpanel? Tried, didnot work. I'm starting to think it has something to do with nameservers not having IP adresses. I get EAI Nodata now after using the IP adress shown in Filezilla saying "connectiong to xxx.aaa.bbb" -_-

Username might be different, but password is definitely the same.

Just to check, have you actually assigned dns names/servers for your domain at the website where you registered the domain?

oh, yeah your domain.

You don't need an ip address.

How many accounts do you have with your hosting provider?

When you bought the hosting did you receive an email with any useful information?
