I've seen these pictures so many times but it still gets to me. I admit to practically balling the first time it was so beautiful.

I suppose this is a horrible place to be cynical, but this doesn't improve my view of humanity very much at all;
#1, I wholeheartedly disapprove of, I already knew about the Japanese elderly being awesome, the one about "Snooky", who I presume is a celebrity, is depressing since it's inherently cynical and I honestly don't freaking care about animals (except dogs). Meaning there's only a couple of those that feel nice to me, with the story about the protesters in the Brazil being the only one that actually made me feel significantly better about humanity.

You can't call yourself a man unless you know how to change a tire!

And I love how the guys who helped the woman looked like they were caught red-handed. It made me think twice about my motives when doing something.

@bump posts. Guys, I just want to say thanks for the positive feedback and for keeping this thing alive, it's there for all of us and this is encouraging.

No pictures right now, i'm at work and my home is without power so I can't upload, but my community was hit a bit hard by Sandy earlier in the week and we have power lines down, gigantic trees toppled over, houses caved in and over in Breezy Point there were 111 houses burned down. I live in Selden, Long Island.

However, when you walk through my streets you see extension cords going from house to house because everyone who still has power is sharing theirs with neighbors so they can keep their food from going bad, people offering the ability for neighbors and their families to take hot showers in their homes.

Half the community, without power and damaged homes were still in the spirit of Halloween, making use of damaged homes and fallen trees with decorations, all in the hopes of making it fun for the children of the area. Of of them had a tree fall right in front of the front foor and it actually created a archway and my daughter loved it.

A truly wonderful community here.

Guys, I know I'm a rotten jerk with some of you, and I'm sorry.

If you still don't hate me, take a look at this:

Last video posted was pretty decent. The guy makes me look pretty damn lazy but I plan on changing that soon myself. I'm surprised this thread hasn't even made it past 50 posts yet... This thread reminds of Always Look on the Bright Side of Life song at the end of Life of Brian.
