Apple also made the perfect Ecosystem. iTunes -> Mac -> iPhone -> iPad = The Way to do Things. It all blends together. 

I own an HTC One S. And I love it, but it's fragmented. I can't easily connect it to my computer and download my iTunes Music or upload photos. Android just needs to do some cleaning up and it'll be good, iOS already is good.

Yes you can.

Install Google Music and it asks you which folders to pull your music from. Set it to the same folder iTunes uses. You'll have all your music on any google device or interent and can even pin music or playlists in case you lose network. Change phones or get a new Android device? Just log in and instantly its all there. No need to plug into iTunes/PC or anything else and wait hours for it all to replicate on your device.

Install Picasa and allow it to upload stuff to your Google+ (which has far better privacy and sharing settings than FB or anything else). Again ALL of your pics/videos are available on any device instantly forever.

Additionally, all android devices have usb connections and act like any usb device when connected to a PC. You could also just copy/paste or use a 3rd party app... again freedom of choice to do want you feel most comfortable with... to allow instant sync of any media you wish... even from iTunes.

Android fragmentation is only a concern for a developer. A user has a nearly endless set of free options to do anything you wish. Pick what fits you best... and they can also be easily migrated from device to device or PC to Pc without any major connections or upload/downloading. Including your docs too.

Exactly. I have to install all this stuff to do something that I could easily do with just connecting a USB Cord to my Mac.

That's also another thing; I have a Mac. Androids and Macs aren't the best of friends.

Funny how Android has many times more "fragmentation" for a developer with a lot more OS versions and hardware variety to test for, yet it provides the better or more stable app environment.

You have a mac and therefore get iTunes forced on you and bolded is exactly my point. Apple forces your hand for better or worse.

Android, Windows, Linux, etc allow you freedom to pick and choose what ever you want. Apple forces you to use their products.

But I'm not trying to convince you to change. Just stating that there are other options that are equal or better depending on your preference.

I prefer to walk out of a store with my new phone or tablet and only have to log in with my gmail account for it to nearly instantly have all my music, photos, videos, contacts, etc on my device. I don't want to have to go home and connect it to anything for hours while it replicates.

Nah, I don't think its highly common either way. But obviously it happens to people at some point.

I don't need to change something if it works well enough. iTunes works well enough.

You can do that with an iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad.

What if you have more data than iCloud allows you to store for free? Android is 20,000 songs, infinite photos/video/docs... all free and on ANY device, not just Android. What if you bought a Windows PC?

If I buy a Mac I can use Google's apps to download my stuff to the Mac.

Additionally ... "well enough"... so you just settle for it. What if there is something that's better with specific features you love or would die to have?

Let's take iOS 6 as the perfect example. Here Apple is removing GMaps as the default and using its own maps/navigation. You have no choice... even if GMaps is better (not saying one is one way or the other).. you can't use GMaps as  default.

I have three browsers on my phone. Stock, Chrome (will become stock with next Android version), and Dolphin (my hidden browser for teh pron). If I use google voice to find something and say "what are purple pikmin?" it will offer all three browsers as the choice to google the answer. I can even set one as a default if I wish and change it at any time. Apple would only open Safari. You'd have to open something else manually first to have an option. (I might be wrong with this as iOS6 may finally add that as a feature, but I didn't see that in their presentation)

Again. Its a matter of preference as both offer good stuff. Apple you get ... Apple's way or the highway. Android/Windows you get choice to pick and choose what best fits you and FAR better personalization.
