Next gen starts when SONY says so.

Hell, 5-year-old Crysis and 4-year-old Crysis Warhead still look better than anything on consoles when maxed out.

I played BF3 and Witcher 2 on Ultra and High on my htpc. While they look stunning. Killzone 3, Uncharted 3, The Last of Us, GoW3 and Ascension are on par with those games.

The 360 is on borrowed time after Halo 4 launches and the Wii is finished, the PS3 has steam for at least two more full years. PS3 owners should be proud of what Sony has brought to the table even though they are last place in consoles sold, they first place in quality games. The hits just keep on coming. If theres any truth that is that no matter what time Sony comes to the party they are always the last  to leave.

People her tend to believe that every PS360 owner is a 25 year old male that plays m rated games...which is far from being true...
a lot of casual gamers play both the Xbox and the PS3, people who bit the HD gimmick and barely play FIFA or GTA, lots of kids, people whose first console has been the PS3...im talking about my experience...PS3 seems to be the hardcore paradise, and thats far from truth...

Perfectly happy with my PS3.
And I don't expect a huge difference for most games between this gen and next gen tbh...

Ugh...your perspective on gaming is so skewed. Its obvious what audiences Nintendo serves, everyone essentially. Sony doesn't exactly do the same and Microsoft didn't until Kinect.
