It all depends on Nintendo. They seemed to have forfeited the console sometime last year and focused heavily on 3DS and now the Wii U. They could've been creative with it such as bundles, colors, attractive pricing, marketing, games releases.
They could've also bundled some WiiWare games along with a WiiWare brochure with the system, which mainly to market their online store which should help them advertise the eventual Wii uStore they'll have.
Damn it. I have a whole lot more creative marketing ideas, which is exactly what led me to believe they abandoned the Wii.
Anyway, I think it'll pass 105

They'll keep making it so long as its profitable even if they are not making games themselves any longer. 3rd parties will continue to pop out low-end stuff for some time and it has a very large back catalog so it should continue to sale well at $99 through 2013 and well into 2014.
NES, SNES, Gameboy, GBA, PS1, and PS2 all sold for many years later with no 1st party help or advertising beyond holiday print ads.
I think it will do it fairly easily, and surpass it by ~5-15 million. It still hasn't dropped to 99 yet, as people have said.
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
Maybe. But if Wii U does good, it will reach the mark and then die. 104-105M LTD

I know... It's just disappointing to see it wither and die when it still has more potential than what it's being given sustenance for; how ironic that Wii's survial now solely depends on third parties
Not with the WiiU coming out this holiday, there's no way. The WiiU is going to cut in the already depressing Wii sales and that's just not going to be enough.

People buying a $99 Wii are not going to be in the marke for a $299 Wii U.

How many people out there that actually still want a Wii thinks hmm $150 with a free game is to expensive compared to $100 and a free game.
At this price point I can't see it being a big deal.
