A fart without stink is like a sky without stars.
TGS, Third Grade Shooter: brand new genre invented by Kevin Butler exclusively for Natal WiiToo Kinect. PEW! PEW-PEW-PEW!

If I remember correctly:

SNES -- Final Fantasy 6 (the very first RPG I played), Super Mario RPG and Chrono Trigger

N64 -- Quest 64 (what a POS) and Paper Mario

Playstation -- FF7, FF8, FF9, Xenogears, Legend of Dragoon and a few others I don´t remember the name (this was the period when my enjoyment with JRPGs was at its peak)

PS2 -- FF10 (the last JRPG I really enjoyed) and FF12 (played a few hours, lost interest)

GameCube -- the Paper Mario game for the system

Xbox -- Star Wars KOTOR (the very first WRPG I played) and Jade Empire

X360 (this is the period when I practically lose all my excitement with JRPGs) -- Oblivion (the game that really made me prefer WRPGs over JRPGs), Fallout 3, Fallout NV, Skyrim, all three Mass Effect games....though, I will say Lost Odyssey just might 'make me smile again'..it just might.

Wii -- Super Paper Mario (another POS, both of its predecessors take a dump all over it)

Man, some people here are RPG monsters!

My list is probably not complete, I don't think I will remember them all, but none the less will pale in comparison (in no particular order):

1. Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
2. Zelda: Ocarina of Time
3. Mass Effect 2
4. Final Fantasy 7
5. Final Fantasy 8
6. Final Fantasy 9
7. Final Fantasy 10
8. Final Fantasy 10-2
9. Chrono Cross
10. Demons' Souls
11. Dark Souls
12. The Elder Scrolls: Arena
13. Final Fanatsy 7: Crisis Core
14. Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn

That's all I can remember for now.

Not as many as I'd like to believe as an RPG fan, really:

Final Fantasy VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XII, XIII

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles & Crystal Bearers (if that counts)

Wild ARMs 1, 3, 4, 5

Grandia 1 & 2

Star Ocean: 'Til the end of time (awful, btw)

Enchanted Arms

Pokemon Red & Gold

Xenoblade Chronicles

No Elder Scrolls or Fallout? You gotta play one of those at lease once... especially Skyrim and Fallout 3.

And I know I'm being nitpicky here, but Zelda II isn't an RPG by any stretch. The only difference in gameplay (aside from the side-scrolling aspect) is that you extend your life/sword/magic with XP instead of collecting heart containers and upgraded items at regular intervals like clearing dungeons in other Zelda games.

I would totally disagree. How many Zelda games can you spend hours grinding to up your stats. Yes you choose which stats are improved when you gain a level, but I would totally consider Zelda 2 an RPG.

Quest for Glory & Skyrim

All other games generally considered Role Playing are just action games where you level/class up through tedious menu driven selections breaking whatever level of immersion in whatever "role" you supposed to be playing.

Also, I consider Metroid Prime and Zelda to be better immersive role playing expeirences than anything Final Fantasy like.

My favorites are Skyrim, Pokemon series, Zenonia series (iOS), Dragon Quest 9 and Radiant Historia (both DS)

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
