Forums - Nintendo - Buying a new 3DS game soon... which one?

I don't have ANY idea of which game to buy, but the last game I bought was Kid Icarus so I really want a new 3DS game.  At first I wanted Heroes of Ruin but, according to the reviews, it is a very short, repetitive and easy game.  So I decided to skip it.  Until NSMB2 I would really like to play a long lasting RPG (open world if possible).

I am opened to any of your suggestions.  I currently own OoT3D, SM3DL, MK7, RE:R and KI:U.

EDIT:  I also like 3D platformers a la N64.  My favorites are DK64 and Banjo...  I guess I like collectathons :P

Mario tennis, Dead or alive dimensions, Street fighter 4, Ridge racer (prob get this cheap), Star fox......cant think of any long lasting rpgs other than Zelda off the top of my head.

Kingdom Hearts 3D

That doesn't come out until the end of July.

Devil Survivor Overclocked is a long lasting, solid JRPG. If you enjoy Atlus games then I say try it out. I can't think of any other RPGs or platformers you haven't played.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

What about Tales of the Abyss?  What kind of game is it?

Tales of the Abyss is a pretty good game if you havent played the PS2 version. If you played the PS2 version, I would pass, but if you havent, get it! Its really good!

Never played a Tales game...  I might give it a try.  What would you choose between Tales of the Abyss and Devil Survivor (you got me interested in both games)

Both games are really good, although I would say you should try out Tales of the Abyss since its a bit more user friendly imo than the Shin Megami Tensei series.

Is it open world? :D

Open World? o.O

The game plays like Star Ocean umm...how should I say this.

Its like Pokemon where you walk around towns, world map, there are random encounters like Pokemon. But the battle system is like you move around left to right and vice versa (until you get a special ability to move around freely).

Here's a video of it:

If I get the level of liberty of a Pokémon game, I'll buy it.

Well not in terms of character development, but traveling wise yes I guess you can say that lol.

It looks like a good game, maybe I'll get it. :)

You should! You'll probably end up loving it, its my most favorite game in the Tales Of Series so far (although I own Symphonia for GCN even though I havent opened it yet XD).

I heard the game is hard to find :S
