Forums - Music Discussion - Dubstep: I need recommendations

Ok, so until recently I was pretty much ignorant to this entire genre of music.  However, from the 7-10 of June I attended Bonnaroo in Manchester, TN and was exposed to various artists who play such music, Skrillex, Big Gigantic, mimosa, and Major Lazer mostly.  I know that not all of their music would be considered Dubstep, and infact, many UK'ers would call lots of this music 'brostep' as a perjorative.  My question to you all is if you are familiar with this music type, and like it, can you reccomend some artists and tracks to me?  I am becoming quite enamored with it as it blends well as working music with my profession as an Electrical Engineer.  Haters need not apply.

I thought it was just one song that everybo--oh. Haters need not apply?

There are few pure dubstep songs out there. Mostly it's short segments in electronic songs of other genres. Do you mean general hardcore electronic music?

Equinox is my favourite Skrillex track.

I LOVE ICELAND!

I highly recommend every single video game trailer from 2012.

I'm not a huge fan of dubstep, but I do like some... like Knife Party:

Nero - Doomsday
Skrillex - Kyoto, Bangarang
Flux Pavillion - Cracks

OK, if it's not strictly dubstep per above, take some ponies.
