Whos Epic to say whats in and whats out?
anyway, if its just graphical detail thats dumbed down, youve got to be a real graphic junkie to buy a more expensive console only for a few frames more and a little mpre deatil in textures...

Yeah, like we saw this generation... A little more detail? UE4 looks way better than anything seen on Wii U so far. And UE4 will, most likely, become the new popular engine for 3rd parties so if the Wii U can't handle it, expect the Wii U to be shunned by a lot of 3rd parties.

The funny part is that I am sure that UE4 demo was just scratching the surface and isn't a true indicator of the engines power. I really don't think he gets it. The only people experiencing next gen graphics right now are PC gamers (because PC's dont have gens) so they have yet to be impressed.  lol

do you guys think theres gonna be such a big gap between UE3 at full and early UE4?

i mean nothing like the Wii to Xbox 360 difference...

Errr... not even in the slightest. Movement looks wooden on the Wii, but more importantly for games going for a realistic environment, Wii games are incredibly static in comparison to the HD games with very few movable items/objects.

That's probably when the differences will be most apparent. Early UE4 games will be using effects not possible on UE3. These will make the difference very obvious (compare Gears 1 to Unreal Tournament 2004). Everything afterwards is simply an evolution of the early games.

oh man...those were the days were every game had its own uniqe engine
nowadays every game looks the fu king same, i would hate the UE3 or UE4 being used massively next gen...specially on the WiiU

There's plenty of variety in Unreal engine games. The engine doesn't make much of a difference in how a game looks, the artists do.

just another thread of nintendo and third parties????

3rd parties dont like nintendo lets face it pls. COD on wii sold 1 million+, RE4 1million+,GE0071million+, I am sure a port of GTA4, assassins creed and some other could have sold at least 1million copies, but hey, who needs more money anyways??

yep because we know how easy it would have been to port those games, anybody who really believes this either never played those games or is in deep denial. You're probably both

Heh..yep. :)

The Wii U will have third party support now, but when it comes time to show off the next consoles the chances are all bets are off unless they want a gap differential much like what you saw with the HD consoles and the Wii in graphics. The differential will probably be worse than that.
