woah! I just got home (a little drunk) - what just happend?! A tablet announcened??

Yeah, nothing to see here if you are interested in gaming.

But maybe MS becoming a stronger competitor to Apple is a good thing.

Oh I totally agree! Apple's been given way too much space!

But I'm sure they'll find a way to implement this with nextBox ^^

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

They said that PRO will be released after 3 months and RT will be before that (with the lunch of windows 8).

When will Windows 8 be released? What the difference between RT and PRO?

RT = ARM

Pro = Intel iCore 5

The Pro's will also come with larger storage capacities, but I forget exactly how large.  I think 64GB and 128GB.  RT are 16GB and 32GB.

Ok OP has been updated with details summarized and a link to MS main Surface webpage.

new pics and details there!

Suggested retail pricing will be announced closer to availability and is expected to be competitive with a comparable ARM tablet or Intel Ultrabook-class PC. OEMs will have cost and feature parity on Windows 8 and Windows RT.

What does that mean? (the bolded)

I think it means both versions of windows (8 and RT) will have the same price and features sets for different editions*

*(by different editions I mean like the Home, Professional, and Ultimate editions of Win7).

No. It means as OEMs start to make tablets based on these OS they will be priced similar with similar features.

There is only two versions of tablet OS... RT and Pro. Just as phones will have one version. Only the PCs will have so many variations.

I don't think they mean that. I think MS provides the tech specs the oem have to apend to, and all sell the products of the same type (RT 32 GB) at the same MRSP.

Basicaly, Surface RT is a tablet and Surface Pro is ultrabook.
I think I'll buy the RT in the first day. I need a new labtop anyway. I hope it won't cost more than $600.

I really like that it comes with a keyboard/cover. An onscreen keyboard is fine in a pinch, but to type out even as little as what I just have is a chore with anything but a real keyboard.
