Forums - Nintendo - Iwata: Wii U dual screen idea nearly canned, Nintendo not worried about competition

Wall of text is unfunny.
Can't believe I read through all that.

Wall o text looks like something Joel would write.

the wii made me hate the phrase "imagine the possibilities". the wii U isn't even out yet and i'm really tired of their use of "unique"...

Oh goodness. Wall O Text has returned! Ryan, you are the new Joel. XD

Except he writes his own wall of text, I just copy and paste.

You are still in development, kinks will be worked out.

When will they just flat out say the Wii U is just a DS for inside? Until you factor in local multiplayer, it is exactly a DS with its top screen replaced by the tv.

I had a good laugh when he talkex about Microsoft and Sony copying. Microsoft obviously was "influenced" by the Wii U but they are going after a completely different goal. Sony with the PS3-Vita is at least a similar experience but it was shown off first last year with LBP. Again it is obvious Sony was "influenced" by the Wii U but again they must have already thought about the concept.

Hopeflly he's right about the Wii U not getting left behind like the Wii.

The screens aren't attached and intereact in much more unique ways bro.

@JoeTheBro
They'll never say it because it's quite obvious it is not.

WiiU; a console an incredibly small market. If I was in Nintendo, I'd be looking for another job about now. Considering the competition has many of the same games the WiiU has, they should be very, very concerned.

At least so far every single player Wii U game that only uses the gamepad could be almost perfectly ported to the 3DS. I'd love for you to show me a game that couldn't be done with the 3DS.
