But I agree in one thing, if they announce price-cuts it could be big - even if this belongs in a electronics convention not a games convetion, like you said. |
Considering how Gamescom is mid August and Madden 13 Vita WiFi bundle launches on August 28th at a $249.99 price and the AssCreed3 bundle is the same, I expect a $50 cut on all Vita models at Gamescom.
No idea what might come on the PS3 side of things. Maybe some more Last of Us or some idea what's going on with Guerilla Games since they have been real quiet lately.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
Currently playing:
Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Which is the all the more reason to be at Gamescom. Your consumer base are the ones who attend.

Huh. Putting both of those shows down to 1 of the big three can't be healthy. Good for Sony, bad for a gamer-excitement-calendar.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

my sarcasm detector doesn't beep...hmm, maybe it's broken??!!

I am thinking that MS will unveil their nextbox at CES 2013.

Me too. It's bound to happen at some point - those sales prospects practically confirmed it - the sooner the better.
If it's in august and only 50 dollars cut I believe they can escape an "ambassador's program" situation too.

you really think it's so important to let consumers already owning consoles play a few demos? it's not like half of the people visiting the gamescom plan to buy a ps3 or 360. they already have them. it's maybe imprtant for sony to show vita to the public and it could be maybe good for nintendo because of the wii u but microsoft doesn't have to show some demos they can play later on live to people who won't buy a 360 anymore or already have a 360.
and new game announcements only shown on some screens, who needs that? we all have a laptop/tablet/desktop pc
only reason i see it important is because television will report about it (at least german television) if we see sony on tv but not nintendo and microsoft i think this will mean more tv time for sony which is good advertisement.

yeah so i shouldn't say "look at E3" because E3 is for MS(and other 2) showing something to 3rd parties(well something under the NDA mostly),which it's important
You call Microsofts offerings solid? It's the yearly Halo, Gears Switcheroo again with XBLA dominating the show (which didn't even look good). Microsoft has nothing to offer Japan any longer and no more third party Japanese devs to buy off. Its pretty clear that Sony is the only company who can try to salvage the rest of the gen with Japan. They sure have screwed up in Japan enough for themselves where the loyalty is supposed to lie.
